State dependent you may owe him one chance to "fix" the tile work before you can even attempt small claims court. And even going to court and winning if no guarantee that you will get any money. You more than likely will not be made whole at all but hopefully you can limit the blood loss. Do you have a pictures of the the work in progress? Comments (15)Yes the spacing and cuts could have been more accurate / consistent. The lack of mortar coverage concerns me the most. No I don't expect anything to fall off the wall. It's more of a mold thing. Moisture collects in the hollow areas. The grout & caulk will make it look better provided you selected a matching grout. Present your concerns and use the response to decide your approach. Takes the criticism well then allow him / her to offer solutions from redo to $$$ compensation. Comments (6)The tile job is fine. The tiles in the corner are not running the wrong direction - they are just the pieces that can fit so your tile could run to the edge of the countertop. It's much better to have full tiles at the end of the countertop where you see them more than back in the corner. For the butcherblock, that can be filled in with wood putty or filler, but you should let the tiler know not to be cutting anything on the countertop....See MoreAshley
