PM, there is chicken wire on each section of the arbor. Not all of the plants are climbers though, so there is string tying several plants up. On the fence behind the baptisia is clematis Blue Belle. Woody, I really like Pagoda. And Blue Boy too. And a ton of others too obviously! Aotearoa is a really strong grower for me too. You might give it a try if you find one. I know Lost Horizons had it at one point. Maybe worth a call to them to see if they'd put one of these 3 plants aside for you. They were all a tangled mess when I was last there.

I have been finding the COTW search engine not to be entirely accurate. Twice I used it to search, once for shade tolerance & the other for a No ID & found errors in both. For example, a very common Will Goodwin is not being listed as having white/gold/yellow anthers with either blue/purple tepal. If you search w/o the anther color he shows up with blue as a tepal. So I wouldn't bank that all the possible cultivars would be listed in your search.

As Kentstar implied, more information is needed to answer the question. What are the names of the clematis? (This will help give info on pruning and hardiness.) Have you pruned them at all and if so when? What besides bone meal did you use for fertilizer? I would also recommend a soil test, as it will give you more definitive information on what your clematis might need. I take care to do good soil preparation before planting and then don't fertilize, just top dress with compost. Some types of plants (don't know if clematis is one) grow leaves at the expense of flowers if there is too much nitrogen, so a soil test will tell you about that also. In the US, most states have universities that will do soil tests, but I don't know who in Canada does soil tests. For really good information it's best to get one done rather that do a kit test yourself, as those have varying levels of accuracy. Also, clematis don't really need shade for their roots (an often repeated myth,) just adequate moisture. I mulch the soil around my clematis (though not against the stems) to help keep moisture levels even as well as watering when we haven't had regular rain.

Marcia is right - it is a honeysuckle/Lonicera. If you post when it blooms you may get more of an ID. You could post on the Name that Plant forum which has some real plant experts.
