Hi. Looks pretty good to me. Does the door handle from bedroom #4 into the bathroom touch the window at all? Where will you hang towels… on the doors?

@Chris great points! I'll ask my arch about the door handle. Ooof towels. Good point. I don't see a great place for it...

We put hooks on the doors in our last house… not ideal but easier for the kids to do. The other door… May open into a person standing at the sink. Let’s face it… kids sharing a bathroom is a learning opportunity, but also a lot of arguments 🙃… don’t want to be hit by a door as well. In Our girls current shared bathroom… we had to figure out a way to lock the door on the bedroom side as well for privacy’s sake… just something to ponder.

Couldn't you solve the door handle/window issue by changing the swing of the door (i.e. put the hinges on the other side and open into the storage cabinet instead of against the window)?

@JP L - good idea! i was also thinking pocket doors might save some space?

They might save space, but I avoid them with J&Js because of the privacy issues.

There always seems to a crack in a pocket (and barn)door… unless you trim it out a little extra inside the door frame to capture the door and eliminate the crack. Also the locks always seem to break. Of course you eliminate a towel hook on the door option in that case.

Would it be too weird to off set the sink away from the door?

Changed the swing on the door, made some space for the towels. thoughts?

Is it possible to switch the tub and vanity? Totally not entirely necessary, but if you wanted to avoid the sink issue with the door, you could rotate the tub and move it to where the vaniy is now, and put the vanity on the wall where the tub is. This would likely shrink/eliminate that external storage area, however, and may not be worth it.

I perfer the vanity and toilet on the same wall because you can use the vanity as a place to put coffee, reading material, phone, whatever when you are sitting. I'm assuming your heat source is under the window. if you switch the tub and vanity you can hang your towels close to a heat source... they will dry faster. have the door open tthe opposite direction so it still opens to the vanity. I would also have the half vanity visible from the open door not the toilet. take some room from your storage if you need to.

You have room for two separate bathrooms. Have you considered tha?

You could do two full baths, either two rooms (both about 5 X11) or one 5 X10 and the other 6 X10. In either case one would open to the hall and the other to one of the bedrooms.
