Counterspace is way too valuable to waste like that.

I agree with sushipup2 - counterspace is way too valuable to be taken up with an appliance like a wine cooler. Could you install a smaller under counter wine cooler somewhere in your kitchen? That would be my suggestion.

that’s only 1/2 my counter space and i have a pretty big island so i’m less concerned about that especially since i’d be putting it in a corner that doesn’t get a ton of use

Less countertop clutter always looks better :)

My parents had one. They are bulky and won't enhance your kitchen at all. They at least kept theirs in the basement bar. Your kitchen looks nice. I wouldn't muck it up with a countertop wine cooler.

Then, why are you asking us? You’ve already had answers from several frequent, knowledgeable contributors…and, I’ll add my negative vote.

But then, having wine at arm’s length is not important to me. If it’s that important to you, and you don’t mind mucking up your plentiful counter space with a…wine cooler, then do it.

You have no 24" cabinet that could be removed to receive a wine cooler?

My vote is ”no”. I have a ton of counter space as well, but I find that it only feels like a lot of counter space when my counters aren’t cluttered. When I temodeled our kitchen, my number 1 priorty was to get everything off the counters. Canisters, knife block, toaster, coffee maker, micro, paper towels, mail clutter…everything! The only thing on my counters now are a tiny Sonos speaker and a decorative cookie jar. Everything else is either in a drawer, a pullout, or an enclosed coffee bar/appliance center. There is no way I’d put a wine fridge on my counter.
