I do love mine and I use it for a shower every day and it looks brand new after 1 year plus. Use the search box here for the words Archer tub and I think you'll find lots of compliments for that one by Kohler. When I had confusion with Swanstone I called the PR department phone number (or maybe emailed?) from their website and got great information about their materials. pamelas_kitchen: Were I able to propose this repair, I would have you acknowledge an email that your tub is ruined, so that any repair attempts I made could not be held against me. With that out of the way, I'd try to abrade the scratches away and buff to match the existing finish. It may require some fill; I'd attempt some color matched methelmethacrylate. Of course, I may sand right through the acrylic and the tub is toast until you have a new finish sprayed on.

We have the Maax Rubix 60x32. It feels very solid, and roomy. Make sure your installer puts a mortar bed underneath for support (per manufacturer's directions). Our contractors attempted to omit that step.

I had an acrylic pedestal tub in my last home, it was beautiful but it did not retain heat as long as I would like. Also it had to be reinstalled and I think they put some type of foam/cement in the base and then it did not budge at all. I also need to make a decision on a tub in the next two weeks and I will likely go with a pedestal acrastone tub ( American Bath Factory Nob Hill) . My first choice would be a victoria albert elwick if I had the space, I need 60" and I can not find a pedestal style I like in a 60" length with this company. Please post what you decide to go with.
