The right gray or gray/green would look good with the roof. Maybe a light sage with blue door and white trim. Just depends on what appeals to you…?

Yes the roof is slate and is original to the house it was checked in 2014 and they said it will last another 100 plus years

Lovely house and stellar roof. I would go for a mellow yellow or sage. I don't think you want it to pop, but rather to look pleasing and cohesive with the roof. I would not do a saturated or high contrast color.

A bit of landscaping and more substantial porch furniture will look great.

Kendra you are correct. I do like the pale yellow or sage green as cholebud suggested. I also like the blue door. It’s just so plain. I want to dress it in its Sunday best!

It is an adorable house. If it doesn't need painting, leave it white. Instead get a new door and paint the door a bright color. Add colorful porch furniture. Hang flowering plants. Spend your budget on new walkway--slate or gray pavers to echo roof--and a well designed cottage garden.

I like it white as is. White provides the most contrast with the surrounding foliage. I would recommend painting your front door a vibrant color so that the entry is clearly discernable. I don't usually recommend planting on a house but the two trellis structures on your porch would make a sensible place for climbing roses (which would all color). In fact, I think you should let your landscaping add color and punch. Would also recommend replacing your walk and your driveway. Good luck!

Our previous house had an original slate roof. We used BM Nantucket Gray on the parts that weren't stone clad. Despite the name of the color, it is more green than gray.

I just look up free online collage sites and copy and paste. They’re easy to use for quick projects.

There are posters here who can do paint mock-ups, hopefully they see this!

You 100% need a diff door. that current one just does not work. look at salvage places, or offer up/craigslist for people selling original doors.

if you want to stay white, then try a new door in a pink/lavender type of color, and do the trim in a light charcoal gray. (make sure it's not a blue gray. has to be a red/or yellow undertone gray)

Get a new porch light and plant some flowers around the home! hang some baskets from the porch. paint the porch ceiling a soft periwinkle.

Wow!That’s amazing! I love all of it! I could move my railing to the middle but the door can’t be changed because of the layout( Not the best)! Also widen the walkway and the steps. There is also a landing pad for my car on that side. I’m the envy of the neighborhood because no on on the cobblestone circle has parking but me.

you don't have to move the door, just change that 1990 to something that fits the period of your home.

Any of those doors in my pictures would work.

is there a Salvage store in your area? they will have a ton of vintage doors there.

or, Restore, craigslist, offer up,,,people are always redoing old homes and often sell the original doors.

You could find a good price on those vintage ones. if they're painted, strip them. (I use SoyGel, or rent a HotGun paint stripper. get it down to raw wood, sand it w/multiple grits and either stain/seal, or prime it and paint it one of those fabulous colors. )

I'd bring in flowers in pinks/purples/whites and lots of green foilage to work w/your gorgeous roof color!

have the rain chain empty into a dry creek bed or an area filled w/these colors of rocks or mulch

all around your porch I'd have lavender planters w/these hydrangea colors

you see how the bottom of the porch was done w/these low plants? do this to hide the lattice trim. Then spruce up the porch w/paint, planters, a swing, a bench, whatever.

find used rocking chairs and paint one.

If you can't find the right color pots, get the cheap terra cotta or the plastic ones and spray paint them. Valspar has some awesome spray paint colors.

Do some better numbers, paint the porch/steps. diff door, some better hanging plants.

make yourself a little drainage bed w/rocks, planter, some foilage. (look it up. tons of ideas).

redo the flower beds. this would be so cute w/your house

then look at porch ideas. get some color going. you can DIY a ton of this stuff

spray paint cheap metal collanders! fill w/flowers.

you have a cute house w/lots of possiblities. Your porch, front door and the surrounding flower beds/potted plants is really all you need to get started.

I'd start w/that and then see if you need to paint the house. (maybe just pick a diff trim color after choosing your new front door)

I posted a bunch of pics so you can choose what you like. for example, the rain chain ideas. not many people can visualize what it looks like.

ditto on how to decorate the front porch.

What you do is pick out the ones that make you happy, and copy those 2 or 3 things.
