Is there any Search function here in Fruit & Orchards??
Comments (1)If you start typing in the search box at the top, you'll get a drop down, from which you can select to search just in the forum you're in, so just in Fruit & Orchards....See MoreSearch function?
Comments (2)I always suggest one learn to use Google incorporating site:gardenweb.com. This gives a better faster more complete search. Some forums of GW's generation even recommend it in their help. Example ~ Chris0333 WI site:gardenweb.com ~ pulls up over 270 gits in a fraction of a second. I will try and help using +, -, quotes and the like if you will give some examples you want to work with....See MoreWhat happened to the search function in Harvest?
Comments (6)Just as with any search engine the more specific your search term the more relevant the results. Imagine what all you would get if you search "pears" on Google or Bing. ;-) So you have to be more specific in your search terms. Yes "pears" will pull up all sorts of posts from all over the site. It tells you everything you wanted to know - or didn't want to know - about "pears" or any post pears were even discussed in regardless of title. But search terms like "canning pears", "preserving pears", "pear jam recipes', etc. - things relevant to the focus of the particular forum you are using - gets you Harvest forum posts. https://www.houzz.com/discussions/harvest/query/preserving-pears/nqrw Dave...See MoreDo you use the search function on Houzz?
Comments (44)Given how much content Houzz has now, they really need to fix their search system. Even searching for their own articles (stories) is useless. I put in a search for "Heating off-grid house". The first article that showed up was "House Rule: Off With Your Shoes". Really? How exactly is that relevant? I'm sure Houzz has lots of relevant content to offer me, but if it's impossible to find, what's the point. I have much better luck searching through Google, which sometimes takes me back to Houzz, but often doesn't. Hey Houzz - you are losing your audience because of your crappy search queries....See Morejuneroses Z9a Cntrl Fl
