A friend "gifted" me with way too many strawberries from her patch for just my jam needs, or even a shortcake fest. I'd like to think of something to bake with it and freeze. I have made strawberry rhubarb pie but I can't find any good rhubarb. I'm thinking maybe strawberry apple pie could freeze ok. The strawberry pie I am familiar with was with the jello-ish filling which I don't really like. I've also had a strawberry cream cheese pie which I will probably make for Dad for Father's Day but I don't think it would freeze well.

I haven't had any strawberry muffins, coffee cakes or quick breads that were memorable, but I'm hoping maybe someone here has a recipe they like.

Otherwise, it's jam, preserves, freeze whole or . . . . ? I really don't know many other good ways to preserve them. I don't eat a lot of sweets and fruit juice is now out of my life due to having too many empty calories. I have a lot frozen but only so much freezer space just for strawberries . . .

I need some good ideas!
