Exterior ? Need help asap!
Comments (10)I would definitely do a brick and paint the house all one color. I think this would greatly improve the house and make it look bigger with uniformity. It would also hide the addition and make it look as though it had always been there. Vinyl siding can really be a negative for re-sale. I have it on the back side of our home and have plans to eventually stucco those parts to match our pool decking, cabana, etc. Imagine your home all brick and painted a nice creamy taupe color with new long shutters to compliment, a larger entrance/walkway with big urns and plantings to make it grander; your front door painted a diff. color to stand out (I would remove the storm door..just my preference. Oops..sorry I just realized I offered more suggestions than you asked for! Would definitely brick and paint though....See MorePLEASE HELP! I need to decide on exterior colors. ASAP!
Comments (32)Miranda, Thank you for the image with the color change. I appreciate the visual. The Soji white in person is really white. I painted the fascia just to see how it would look and it was too white. I painted over it with the Acia Haze. We also live in a Arizona with horse property so my husband doesn‘t want something too light where the dirt will show up. We are liking the Urban Puddy which is the bottom left in my original picture and the big board in the pictures I added. I put up the board I made of Roadside in the morning and post a picture. The painter will pressure wash tomorrow, tape Tuesday, and start painting Thursday. Based on the comments it seems we should go with the Urban Puddy. Or does anyone have a specific color they’ve used and been happy with that is similar to what we‘re all visualizing?...See MoreHelp! Need to decide exterior paint asap! Looking for mock ups to help
Comments (22)Thank you Celerygirl for all of the mock ups....they are so appreciated! I['m still unsure at this point but what are your thoughts on shutters? Also, what is the closest Sherwin Williams color to your suggested Benjamin Moore Timber Wolf? I tried to google it with no success. I'm still so torn, Granite Peak was always my top but maybe a Gray is what I should go with? I literally can't sleep with this hanging over my head but I'm going to try, and probably like in the past, I'll dream of color and paint yet again! jck910 & katinparadise - I so appreciate your feedback too. Do you know what Sherwin Williams paint color is closest to BM Storm by chance? When you mentioned the blues weren't resonating with you, can you be more specific on the paint samples I have on my house? I wasn't sure if you were looking solely at the mock ups or those as well? (And I know have some dark blues in there) as well as some lights, the one on the left up top (Poolhouse) is my fiance's favorite but it's been a NO for me almost immediately. LOL Thank you all again, and please respond if/when you can, I greatly appreciate it. I don't know if I have to give the painter the answer tomorrow morning though I'm hoping I have until late afternoon....fingers crossed! Until tomorrow, good night!...See MoreDormer paint color help needed ASAP
Comments (5)you pic is rather small and too far back to see the tones in the stone. here are some diff shades of neutral beige/creams if you want it to match w/the stone, then just pull one of those colors. matching the stone color is simple and safe. I do like this trio. maybe the darker green/gray for the trim or accent somewhere if you want contrast, try a warmer charcoal tone (not a blue gray,,has to be a yellow undertone charcoal. like this Anonymous shade. (bottom right) or, maybe either of these bronze colors would look nice. why not get a few samples, paint a swatch, and see what you like. some other neutrals to go w/the stone. download the SW ColorSnap app, upload your picture, and try out the diff colors to see what you like...See Moregirrlguide
