best wax/other product for antique pine?

We recently bought a late 1800s Irish pine table. It's in decent shape. I'd like to clean it, enhance its patina and protect it. I thought waxing it might be the answer.

I'm finding mixed information in my research -- in one article linseed oil is recommended, in another it’s advised against, etc. I’ve seen Briwax discussed, but I don’t necessarily want to change the table’s color. I saw one blog that recommended Fiddes.

What's the best way to care for this kind of furniture?? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
