I agree with coffeemom. Get some new ones while the burnt ones are recovering. I'm primarily a paph. grower but do have a mixed collection. The non paphs. section is now getting bigger and bigger. I just returned yesterday from a 2 week vacation at a condo in Myrtle Beach, S.C.. Last May when I was there I was SHOCKED to walk into Kroger Grocery Store and be confronted by 75 to a 100 no name phals. in full bloom. Where not talking your basic white or pinks, just the opposite. Yellows, oranges, lots of harlequins all for $10 each. Many had two spikes and I even brought home one with 3 spikes. So, one of our first stops this year was Kroger's and they only had a couple phals. but there where lots of box's laid about. We left and returned that night after supper and once again they had a 100 NOID phals that where just beautiful. I grabbed a shopping cart and filled it up. Then went back a week later and they had added even more phals. Just before we left we went back again and they had started replacing the phals with what one might expect in a grocery store. Is this normal for a Kroger's that is down south? I came home with the backseat full of phals and as I said before, the person in Florida should just get some new ones while waiting for those plants to recover.

Good luck to all of you that have to bring plants inside. I feel really bad that you guys have to do it SO soon already! Not rubbing it in...I sincerely wish I can send you guys some of our warmth and sun. Gosh knows we have way too much of it and would love to share. FWIW, when I was trying to color up my Jades last year, I placed them outside right up against a south facing wall during nights that dipped in the low 30's(Jan. and Feb.) for a few hours. I covered them with a lightweight blanket and they fared well, no damage. But I didn't chance it when it was forecasted to be below 30ð, I brought them inside...I didn't want to risk any freeze damage at those temps. But its your call...if you don't feel good about it...I wouldn't take the risk. Good luck and here's hoping for a short and mild winter for all of us(yes, even us in FL,lol)

I just gave up...... After having a Gardenweb account since forever, since back when it was an offshoot of the "Parent Soup" channel thing at AOL.back in the mid-late 1990's and was still doing the same thing at the various changes and new corporate whatevers and never had an issue before or after changing my email address to Gmail in April 2004. I finally just entered a new account name at the same exact email address I have maintained since April 2004 and seemingly have either no "old" account or the new account has no conflict with the old. The old just not being able to "sign in". I have been doing this sort of thing since 1990 before even AOL back when "online" was a BBS running off of a hot rod 2400 Baud modem plug in card on an Apple IIE. I have never been one tobe concerned with site appearances, but the Huuzz scheme fonts colors layout everything, is absolutely horrendous. Just my $.02 worth..... YMMV

I'm not stupid. 4.You can't seem to program the site to work. You fix one thing and it messes everything else up. 5. The search function that used to work great on Garden Web, now just returns nonsense that is in no way connected to the term searched.
