Backsplash, where to end subway tile?

We are ready to install white subway tile backsplash in our kitchen. We have a peninsula and a window edge that doesn't end at the same place as the counter. Where should we stop the tile?
•To the right of the window- take tile to the ede of the counter and same hight as the bottom of the cabinet? Stop tile at the bottom right corner of window sill? Take tile to the ceiling around window and stop at the edge of the counter? Take tile to the far right door frame to cover the whole rightvwall? Or?
•On the peninsula, stop the tile even with the edge of the top cabinet? So 1.5 inches of wall are left?
•The stove wall. Tile will go behind stove up to the vent hood. Do we stop the tile in the right back corner and not tile right side wall? Or take the tile around to the front edge of the wall and counter? Or stop tile on right wall where the cabinet ends?
•To the left if the stove, have tile to to left edge of wall and stop even with the bottom of the hood?
•Tile inside open cubby where microwave is. We are putting a shelf in to set the microwave on. Do we just tile the back of the cubby or all 3 sides? (We are moving the light switchover some.)
