Hi IMHE they can and do grow in every method . I grow most of my CAtts in tree fern suspended on wires . The Epi's grow this way but not to the degree they grow in a trough. Can't help but stick a few Epi's in whenever I repot. They seem to be at least semi epiphytic but grown this way they tend to grow through the roof of the shadehouse. This also happens to the terete vandas. Requires that you get on the roof to see the flowers lol The "hedge " came from some pix a friend sent me from Singapore. They grew them on stretched wire much like grapes . Unfortuneately my friend doesn't know a vanda from a dandelion though the Vandas were towering 3 feet above his head he didn't even mention it lol I reseached the methods used by the garden and since I had several offsets and 2 queen palms I'm trying to grow together.lol Have two strap leaf, five semi terete and four teretes in the group . Epidendrums were tucked into the base as I used a trough as the basis . It's less than 3 years old but all have done fantastic so far . have got a few flowers from the teretes and epidendrum and got a spike coming on the semi terete.. Some day it will be glorious or that cold wave of the century to wipe them out?? lol. Since I'm old I figure I should be far more adventurous with my methods?? As to the Thelymitra I believe I saw some at the WOC as the heavenly blue sticks in my mind and what's rarer than Blue orchids"?? Anyway ,on researching the family they do have a wide range so maybe not too tempermental?? But they are terrestrial and my track record with terrests is dismal lol Sure a lot of Austalian plants that grow in florida I figure but I fear they may be seasonal as they range on the south of the continent. which has distinct seasons. They are being grown in the US but are certainly rare. An Oregon co. had them listed but you had to enquire about availability as well as price. That scared me off lol Even though they seem rather common through the range tough to find culture info except on the Pacific Bulb org. No sources though. Would much rather buy the starts in Florida if I can find them??? gary

How can I improve slip resistance on bath floor-porcelain tile?

I hate to say this, but if you really want slip resistance, it's best to get a tile that's rated for slip resistance. There are plenty of tiles that are. Do you know what the slip resistance rating of it is? If it's a 24x24, it's definitely meant as a floor tile...I'd be surprised if it's really really slippery, but I guess it's possible. Hmmm now I've gone to the Tilecrest site, and the largest format I see of any of the tiles is 20x20...on the other hand, I don't see "alabaster" listed anywhere, so is it a new tile not on their site? Or do I have the wrong site entirely? Here is a link that might be useful: is this it?

Hey that's much better than what happened to me last weekend! I picked up a flannel log-cabin lap quilt that I had made for my son and daughter-in-law off of their couch and kidded that I was going to take it back home with me, my son says "what do you mean, take it back?" He didn't even remember I'd made it. At least my daughter-in-law assured me that she wouldn't give it up and that she appreciated it and the other lap quilt I had made for her. Kate, Thanks so much. You will be added if needed --- and I think you will be needed! Please, if anyone else missed out on this when we first posted, let us know. Even if Kate fills in for Kim here, there may be a need for more to fill in later. We have some pretty definite rules this year so if someone is not sending, they will no longer be in the group. So cute how they all ran to him. Obviously not feral. Aw, kittens. Honestly, its just as easy to take them to a shelter than dump them.

On my local morning tv show they showed him bathing all the kitties (in what looked like a kiddie pool, so cute!), and said he found homes for each one.

In my husband job he worked outside . That is how we got most of our cats. Dump offs. Thankfully the most he brought home was 3. One time he found 2 on the side of the road. One already dead. The other was still alive and still had his umbilical cord. He took it promptly to the vet. The vet said it was about a week old and probably wouldn't live. We had that cat for years. We called him stinky. There is a point where a kitten can self defecate but can't use a litter box or clean itself. Stinky.

I call them Dumplings. My old vet helped me with so many kitties. Kittens are hard because they are often so scared they run away from help. Those babies were ready to be helped. I once had an old Dumpee who brought a kitten up to the door one day. She would not settle down so we sent Shelby back out and he found the other one for us. A little boy. His sister settled right down. My vet adopted them out together since they were so attached. I do not understand who does that. That many kittens means more than one mom.

We built on land that was a field. Had a major mole and mice problem but hadn't gotten a cat yet. I was, very randomly. outside at 10pm one day enjoying the night air and after a few minutes heard some meowing. I kept her in the garage that night and the next day she was eating a mouse on our back porch. Good kitty!! She's been the best cat.

Cat was 4-5 months old when I found her and very friendly. I talked to some neighbors and turns out people like to dump cats out here.

Someone boxed up some puppies with tape on the box and dumped them in the hot weather by a creek in our county about a week or so ago. What is wrong with people? There's a humane society in town and all you have to do is drive them there. Luckily someone found them.

I have been watching their tiktok videos of the kittens. They had one today of their 2 adorable little children in a wagon along with all the kittens. Cuteness overload! They still have all of them.

i hope someone will find the mom or moms and getting them spayed, if not they will just keep producing...

hopefully there is a TNR (trap/neuter/release) program in the area where they were found .

people are very irresponsible, that's for sure!!
