Bali Watercolor, sun and well shaded by me. Bloom seems extra large this year, it is liking its new spot

Mixed Berry Jam was a bonus last year. Smaller flower, I will give it another year to see how it does. It has multiplied well, I know not a good picture here.

Diamond Shores was new last spring. Like most i got in the spring, it did not bloom til now. I like it, it is shorter I think than it should be. Supposed to have a pretty high bud count, maybe in a year or 2.

I think I have already posted Raspberry Quasar, but I thought it looked quite pretty with a cooler morning.

I think you may have more blooming than I do. My Bali Watercolor is nowhere near blooming yet. Yours looks good. Isn't it wonderful when a plant improves once you find the right spot?

Thanks for the nice comments. ARCTIC LACE is blooming on a new single fan that only had four buds. I was happy to get a bloom this large and nice off of it. The first two flowers were small and not really impressive, but the one today is getting there. I was pleased with how white it was upon opening, and the edge got bigger and frillier as the day wore on. I think this one will be fabulous when it matures. This is the second bloom on MULBERRY CONNECTION, and I was really delighted with it. I love the color, the shape, the halo, and the type of doubling it features. CLOWN'S CABARET was new for me last year, and I was suprised by the highly saturated color since the Salters describe it as cream pink and show a light rose pink flower in their catalog. It's a very different looking bloom, and was a vigorous rebloomer last year. This year with the drought and the wacky weather, who knows? Shive

Julia, Mabou is from a more Northern hybridizer. After several bboming years, last year was just so-so for Citrix, but it has mnay more blooms this year than last. Mantix, Indigo Edge is about the same size bloom as Citrix. Brad, I lost my first Spoken in Parables to voles, but liked it so well I replaced it. Jean, some of the fancies take more than one season to really settle in, and I will wait6 for this for CB. Debra, my eye is too easy to catch:). Thanks, Ruth, I like too many of them myself. Chris, I really figured Indigo Edge would have trouble opening, but it opened well, early. I bought Mabou because I love the photo New York Rita posted of hers. Thanks, Jean. I had some first ever bloomers the past few days. Minnesota Morning was a bonus i received last season, it had its first bloom today. I’m wondering if it will be a late here, will have to wait till next season since many bloom times are off this season. Strength and Beauty is having it’s third sesaon here and this is its first bloom. it was leaving if it didnt bloom this season, i rather like the pattern. Siloam Double Peony had first bloom ever yesterday. It is snuggled up to a hydrangea. This hydrangea hadnt bloomed for two seasons, it is huge this season. Indian Giver was showing off this week. Smurfette is having its dirst blooms this year, got a better photo today. I really like this one. I finally got a good photo of Reindeer Antlers. It is being shaded by a vine, it will be moved after it is done blooming. Blooming on this one is about 4 weeks early, its been blooming for at least three weeks. Sea Dragon started blooming this week, another one that is blooming two weeks earlier than usual. Sherry

Thank yo for looking and commenting; Julia, Fancy is my spoiled Chihuahua. We love her very much and some of the silly plants reblooming are putting up an additional scape or scapes. We have had several rains which is part of it I'm sure. David, Explosion is quite a bloomer and I like the variety of blooms on it. Nancy, Jellyroll Morton Is on it's fourth year and it seems to get better every year, so David, yours will come right along, I would imagine. Senior Balloon, I like a wide variety of daylilies shapes and especially enjoy big ones and bright colors although though I originally only wanted the bagel shaped ones.

It is strange Bali would be blooming before yours. Seems like I had one last year that was blooming before yours too. Maybe it was Bali? But I know you are a few degrees warmer than I am.. yes, so good when you find the right spot for a daylily

Raspberry Quasar does look nice. The edge just makes it.......I've always liked the color combination of Bali Watercolor. Glady to hear it's blooms are so large for you this year............Maryl
