Does this piece of art work in my room (w/pics)?
Comments (55)I love the first and last stripe! I like the way the line draws your eye up and the last one is simple enough to not compete with the rug or the armoire. the one I picked was tough; there were so many that had your colors in them at Horchow! That one seemed to go more with your rug (which looked red, gold and brown on my monitor!)because it didn't have any green, but in the end I was thinking it had a subtlety that might work. having all of the colors represented is probably your best bet, though- it definitely brings your eye all the way around the room in a nice way. IMHO, you can't make your walls look too tall. Drawing the eye up is almost always a great thing. And I think some height will balance out the weight of the armoire as well. but only you can see how things look in person! clearly you have great taste!...See MoreDining Room - need help with wall art/accessories!
Comments (92)You're dining room looks lovely, I love the neutral wall colors. I believe these work by Avaulte artist Bronle Crosby would be a lovely compliment to the room. The first one is titled 'Birds Eye View" and is 24"x18". I believe the neutrality of this painting along with the pops of color would be a beautiful addition to the room. This next image by Avaulte artist Bronle Crosby is titled 'Still Waters' and is 36"x26.5". The simplicity and stillness of the image would be a lovely feature to the dining room. I would also consider looking at works by Avaulte artist Barbara Trcinski who creates amazing figurative paintings. These could add a lovely pop of color and be a beautiful statement piece within the living room. The first is titled 'Shondra in a Purple Dress' and is 20"x16". The warm colors of the painting would compliment the wall color of the dining room well. The next work by Avaulte artist Barbara Trcinski is 'Chrysanthemums' and is 30"x24". Again I belive this could add a beautiful pop of color to the room. If you wanna see more original by either of these artists or learn more about Avaulte here are links to Bronle Crosby and Barbara Trcinski's creator pages on Avaulte. Let me know what you think! Comments (38)Hmm - I like the small prints a lot too. The spacing is great & their leaf images play nicely with the leafy wreath effect in the script art on left & the tree. And, having only one script art instead of two makes the arrangement less busy for the eyes wanting to read the scripts instead of looking at the nice arrangement as a whole. Sounds like I’ve made my decision that I like your last arrangement the best! So as you & I both know - that’s the beauty of the velcro hangers - we can change our minds & not have walls looking like dart boards!...See Moredining room art work? help!

Could you go for something like this in the dining room? I'd add a tall tree to one side -- or maybe frame it with two! As for the entry area, I'd rethink it to be more functional because most people really do need that space to put down stuff or keep stuff. That doesn't mean constant clutter. But it's okay if it's empty and maybe just has an attractive bowl or catchall or tray on one side. Actually Levenger's sells a note "bleacher" where you can leave notes, letters you shouldn't forget to mail or mix in a favorite photo or postcards. https://www.levenger.com/products/note-card-bleachers?variant=42555135787157 I would also want some kind of umbrella holder under the console. I'd put a walking stick in there too but I like to use them. But I wouldn't put flowers or books or candles. (I might go for a great flaslight!) https://www.ebay.com/itm/195840629086?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&srsltid=ASuE1wT9G_7DHE4jqL58TaDePa2o8aNCXVHxJfYglXtvAachZnUY5M80qI8...See MoreRelated Professionals
