Comments (24)thanks for all of the input! oakley, i love yellow too. The room was previously turquoise and lime green and while I like those colors, it was a little dark in there and not very cheery. I just checked out PB rugs. I love the rugs at PB teen, but braided rugs are a little traditional for the space, which is leaning towards eclectic/modern. pricklypear, very nice C&B rug - that led me to the rug i ended up buying. The rug should ship in 7-10 days. I'm excited as this room has been in disarray for months. My little one will have a fun, happy spot to play in soon. :) I'll post photos once the room is done. thanks, Pip...See Morecharcoal couch, 'soft pumpkin' walls - help w rug choice
Comments (6)I thought this rug might look nice with the colors you suggested. I don't know if you ever used the site overstock before but it's amazing! I've purchased quite a few things from there, and am purchasing rugs for my own house from the website pretty soon. They generally have the best prices (because they get the overstock from other companies) and no matter what you get, the shipping is always 3 bucks! If you don't like the rug I posted in the link, you can just type in "flat weave rug" and you'll find a bunch of results. Comments (139)Thank you! I know I start all over the place, and I don't always hit the mark, but so far I really love this room! Y'all were a big help. I totally could have gone with a solid rug or solid curtains I agree. I just really love pattern. The kids do LOVE the rug, which I was not expecting :) Last night my 2 year old said "mommy, I love the rug so much I want it upstairs (in the bedroom)" I thought that was funny. Comments (52)@BethH wow! That sea foam and gold chair is perfect with this couch. After unpacking the couch, it is a hunter green. Dark and luxurious. I am quite pleased and it isn’t far off at all from the photo. After seeing it, I don’t think we will go with a blue rug. Maybe gray or beige instead. I like the bright colors in the rugs some have suggested, especially when paired with about 8 fun pillows. But for the sake of my fiancé’s sanity, I will keep things neutral and chill with clean lines. That top photo with the green couch and wooden table seems spot on with my fiancé and I’s compromise on decor. I figure as our life becomes more calm (the baby getting older) the color scheme will become more eccentric. For now, though, the peaceful neutrals and deep green offer solace amid the craziness of a baby and a home under construction....See MoreEverything Home
