I am glad to see justice was served. Amber Heard did a huge injustice both to him and to actual victims of abuse. (And that includes him)

I hope his career gets back on track. A lot of people and companies owe him a big fat groveling apology.

It's time for "Pirates of The Caribbean #14"

Today my husband asked me who Amber Heard is. He was reading his on-line news and said there is something about her every day. I knew the trial was going on but have not kept up with it or what the actual claims were. That is sad about actual abuse victims. : (

Yeah, seems like a fair verdict. OK, maybe he was a victim of abuse by her, but he's a victim of self-abuse as well. I hope he stops when he sees how many people care, but I doubt it.

One thing that bothered me is that Amber was the subject of so much hatred. Maybe she's mentally ill and a liar to boot, she didn't deserve to be treated so mean by the public. I hope she was able to avoid the thousands of nasty comments. Now she needs to give up her "career," and just drift off the headlines because I'm tired of the whole ugly mess and all their dirty laundry.

PS I hope Camille Vasquez goes away too.

She was not bothered in the least about the devastating consequences her behavior and lies had on him or anyone else. No pity from me.

I just hope this means they'll just so away. I'm amazed at the amount of publicity this garnered.

Both of them have major issues. She more so. Glad she didn't get away with it.

I do not care about those 2 people sooo much! It's been so salacious, and I really did not want to know all the sordid details, but it's been all over TV and news reports, so not completely avoidable. Seems like they deserved each other, IMO.

What else can you expect from 2 actors than a whole bunch of drama?

I couldn’t care less about these two characters. Neither is to be believed. What a waste.

I watced a few snippets, but found it very boring and tiresome. I’d rather watch a vacuum cleaner or air fryer commercial.

I never saw any of their movies. I wouldn’t want either for a roommate or neighbor or relative.

I couldn't care less about what's going on with anything in the "entertainment" industry. But I did see Top Gun: Maverick (for free) and enjoyed it. I haven't watched a movie in a theater for 7 years. Don't watch them on tv. Depp/Heard DRAMA =MEH

I watched not a second of this trial so I don't have any opinion at all.

I don't really have a strong opinion either way either (never watched even one second of it), except I agree they both seem like train wrecks.

I read some of the language they admitted to using, about each other and to each other, and I was appalled. I've been divorced, I've ended relationships, I've had relationships ended on me when I still loved the guy - and I have never once talked about someone in the way they talked about each other.

I guess (?) because their lives revolve around Hollywood and it's all drama-infused make believe there, that maybe they're used to movie dialogue? I don't know. I was just utterly appalled at the language they used to talk each other when they were allegedly in love with each other. Holy cow Batman. Trashing rooms, living in a drug-addled fog, screaming obscenities and throwing things at each other - color me unimpressed with either of them.

I'm a "low information voter" on this trial. I'm surprised the jury didn't just tell them both to go away. On the Today Show today, Amber Heard's attorney said a lot of evidence that was admitted into a UK trial between the two was not admissible in the US courtroom, and that information would have strengthened her case. And OMG, she is going to appeal this decision.

When he wasn't in the latest Magical Creatures series my daughter made a derogatory remark about "They wanted to distance themselves from abusers". This world makes sooo many accusations and no one stops to think about what just the ACCUSATION does to a person even when later proved false!!! This is for sure not worth court time, money other than a place on Judge Judy. I do not think in these non criminal cases courts have the ability to throw them out.

I did watch bits and pieces of the trial. I was never a Johnny Depp fan and have only seen one of his movies, an old one called Benny & Joon, from before he became really famous I think. If you didn't watch this trial you missed some really funny moments. Sometimes everyone in the courtroom would be laughing, and at one point a man had to get up and leave because he couldn't control his laughter. I think it didn't take very long for people to realize who was lying and the real abuser, with the evidence to prove it. His lawyers did an excellent job and you could tell they believed in him and genuinely liked him. I'm glad the truth has come out and an innocent person can get his life back. I think we humans are too quick to jump on anything negative we hear about a celebrity, myself included. For anyone interested, it seems that Mr. Depp went through detox and is no longer on drugs and alcohol. I'm still not a fan of his movies and probably won't watch any more of them, but after watching his behavior during the trial I have come to like him a bit as a person.

The British court came to the opposite conclusion.

There is speculation (backed by some evidence) that the judge that decided that case was biased because of his connections to people involved in the group that published The Sun, which was the defendant in that case.

Her attorney needs to stay off the talk shows. She's only digging the hole deeper for Amber by accusing the jury of being on social media when they're home without a single ounce of proof of that and by saying the jury was "confused". Elaine: you agreed to this jury, deal with it.

Do I believe Johnny is 100% innocent? No. But I almost cried with I heard the first "yes" in his favour. I know a woman who is EXACTLY like Amber. As soon as Amber got on the stand and started to tell her fictional tale of what happened, I said to my husband, "she's EXACTLY like XXX". He agreed. And a few other people who know the woman I'm talking about also said the same thing. The thing is with people like Amber, they start the fights. They refuse to let you leave. Then the fight escalates and next thing you know, they're blaming the other person for everything that's wrong even though they started it and allowed it to go too far. And that's when the camera came out. Never when it started. Only when they made the other person so frustrated and angry that they lash out. I do not believe for even a nano second Johnny raped Amber. Never have, never will. photos of drugs? She and her friends partook in all of them for free. And was Johnny in any of the photos with the drugs? Nope. The broken bed with the knife. Plenty of wood workers have debunked how she said it was broken. Her over the top facial expressions, her smirks, her whole demeanor was off. I am a victim of spousal abuse. My black eye could not be covered up with makeup. I had that black eye for close to two weeks. One punch, which cracked my nose. Oh, and I needed a root canal on a front tooth a year later. The dentist said (he didn't know anything about the abuse) that the damage done to my tooth had to be a direct result from a blow to the face. I could go on, but while I agree they had fights, I do not believe he hit her. The kitchen scene alone proves she was not afraid of him. And he didn't even try to "scare" her. All he did was yell and holler (his mother just died and he lost a ton of money) and walked over to his "mega pint" of wine (poor attorney: I think me meant to say Magnum of wine and got flustered), and poured a large glass for himself. She didn't flinch or walk away. he did get angry and took the phone because he didn't know she was filming this. Anyone in their right mind would have done the same.

Amber believed that because the Sun won their case in the UK, she would win here. Their legal system is not the same as the American one. And Amber did not win that case: she was only a witness. And now they're looking to charge her with purgery in that case. As for the incident in Australia, injuring a person with a glass of any sort is a serious crime with jail time. Johnny said "he" cut his finger off only to protect the woman who abused him which is very typical of anyone who is abused. He didn't want her charged so he took the blame and they got her out of the country the next day to avoid charges.

And Elaine is screwing up Ambers appeal. She needs to shut up if she wants her client to pay less money.
