I wish I could help you but a lot of these little gift minis are very hard to ID because the growers sometimes interchange varieties of the same color with a specific name. The two biggest growers of these minis are Poulsen and Kordes. Poulsen has three series that I know of called Parade, Palace and Hit roses but there could be more. Kordes are mostly under the name Kordana. They both have web sites you can go to and see if you can find your rose but like I said it isn't easy. In any case it's a lovely rose!

Cynthia, I think you might get more response over on Antiques. They're really good at IDs even if it's a modern rose.

I can ask her sometime. She thinks she's got the info in a cellar file cabinet. I was curious as I am helping her while she recovers from some surgery. I believe it was within the past few years. We are in Zone 5a and she keeps her container plants in an unheated garage with a window for the winter. Could this rose be 'Penelope'? I'll help her move them from the two gallon pots (if she wants) in that later part of the summer or fall. Or, I suppose she could prune some of the root if she want to keep them small and in the 2 - 3 gallon pots? Thanks for your response. She's getting stronger, so perhaps it won't be but another few weeks before she can get around better.

Alright, a bit of an update: Yes, it is an Aloha rose. I double checked it with a blossom of Mel's Heritage, which has a strong apple fragrance, and yes, they do smell the same to my nose [however Mel's is stronger]. So now I need to find a place to put it! Thanks for all the help!
