Woven wood shades?

I am trying to decide on window treatments for windows and slider. I am leaning toward woven wood shades. Privacy is not an issues, I am looking for light filtering. I like the idea of the woven wood for color and texture. My dilemma: is an outside mount possible over the slider due to the molding on the slider and the window inches apart on the right? Will an outside mount on the slider and inside mount on the windows look odd? If the shades are lined will the gather appear to large above the slider? How would I measure for the slider, more on the left so the shade covers the wall a bit and for the right up to the window molding? Thank you for help!

Abbey Window Coverings is a local company that offers these. I'll be placing an order soon for a woven blind with black out liner for a bedroom. I couldn't find anything in a google search with those keywords, and I have never heard of LaFayette shades. However, I sell similar shades and even with a healthy markup that sounds pricey for 2 shades, even one that large. Also, does the price include installation? You will always pay more when purchasing through a brick and mortar store, due to their overhead. Have you tried Blinds to Go or a similar online site?

I need to see the space and honestly also some idea of the purpose of the blinds . I would not do anymore wood but I need to see the space. I arely like blinds that block views so I use solar shades for heat and UV control they allow you to keep the view and give you daytime privacy but I usually pair them with drapes for night time privacy if that is an issue. So a bit mor einfo along with pictures please.

Thank you Gordon’s Window, I like the fabric it looks like woven grass. Would it be odd to mount the shades over the slider as an outside mount and would a valance be used? What is the clearance needed when rolled up? Thank you for your help.

It all depends on the overall height of the sliding door.

I chose roller shades for the living room that have a woven grass appearance. The slider will have an outside mount and the windows will be inside mount. Hoping it looks good, they are installing next week. Thanks again.
