Your link for more pictures does not work for me. I do like the glass backsplash tiles you are considering. I also like the small dark square tiles you show at the bottom. They relate well to the dark speckles in your granite and would look good with rubbed bronze fixtures. If you are going to trim the glass tiles I think you should use those dark square tiles on both the top and bottom of the glass tiles instead of the lighter squares in the picture above.

I like 9, too. Except that I see it gray-lavender when it lays on the counter, and khaki when it stands..)) The counter also seems much grayer (on my monitor at least) in natural light, than in artificial Generally speaking-they all should be standing, because that's how they will look when installed. The angle changes the color perception for us. I think to choose will be easier if you take tile by tile..put it vertically(which you did; but as opposed to you we can't see it up close)..and look only on it, in the relationship to the counter and to the rest. Then go to the next one.

Carolae, thanks for the recommendation of Nemo Tile. I spent time looking at their glass tile and I've ordered three samples. Crossing my fingers. Wolfgang80, I ordered a few Heath samples when I first started looking for tile. None of my samples worked especially well with our counters. I love their tile though. I feel like Tabarka is a little rustic for my other kitchen elements. Nicole R and Shannon, you've confirmed one of my concerns. I was afraid that the glass pencil mosaic might feel dated. I do like the softness of glass though, so I'm looking at some larger format glass options. PamA and Barnkatz, I've gotten several samples from TileBar, but will go back and take another look. I already have a sample of Diesel Camp White Canvas that Pam suggested and it's a pretty good option. The color works with the marble and it has a very subtle texture up close. I'll take a picture of it with the counters later. I'll go back and look at TileBar again because I like most suggestions that both of you made. AboutToGetDusty, the Sonoma glass tiles are beautiful. When I initially looked at Sonoma I was only looking at their ceramic tile, none of which grabbed me. I really like some of the glass colors. Thanks for all the help so far!!! I'm off to research some of my now options!

Let’s start with your color choices first. What style are you going for? What exact granite? If you haven’t firmly chosen the granite, choosing a mosaic backsplash may lead you to a coordinating granite or quartz counter top, and coordinating tile for the shower. What surfaces will will be used in the shower? This probably should drive most of this design train. Will you install shampoo niches? If they can be installed on left side inside shower the clutter will be out of site. What color cabinets? (Consider two small drawers for makeup at bottom of corner counter cabinet, shallow drawers work well here.) What flooring will be installed? Is this an operating window? Basic answer: Dressing area- backsplash 3 sides. Vanity area- back only if have little time for details........ Do the sides if you can pull it all together. Granite on top of shower ledge truly depends on all of your color choices. If colors are monochromatic any design gaps are not notable. If colors are dark and light this could be jarring.
