Can you help decide kitchen layout? Two options

TD House
last month

Floor plan A-A is ideal because it keeps the space open between our family room and dining room and looks symmetrical. There would be a cased opening leading into the dining room. The downsides are that the range might have to go in front of our windows and we can’t open up the kitchen to the living room in the front of the house.

Floor plan B-B allows us to have the range on its own wall and gives more space for upper cabinets. We can put the sink in front of the windows. It allows us to potentially open up to the front of the house and connect to our living room. It makes entertaining/ feeding kids slightly more difficult because we’d have to walk around the partial wall. It’s not symmetrical.

Thanks for any help you can provide !
