tomato not drinking--collapse last week
Comments (3)Plants will often look droopy if you are overwatering also. If there is water in the saucer then you do not need to water anymore. Get a water meter and check the levels. Or maybe just sink your finger into the soil. If it feels moist then you are fine, don't over water or under water. 80's is great weather for tomatoes so just get on a regular watering schedule like feeding your dogs and adjust as the temp goes up or down. as for falling over just stake them and or tie them to the balcony railing. They are vines so they can droop over under or wherever....See MorePremier Railing
Comments (2)Sorry for the mess Ebb. Most all the manmade outside material has problems now and then. X 10000 with trex. Over the years seeing this I have come up with some ideas why. A bad batch, something happened with quality control. A bad install resulting in major stress the product could not handle. In other words the Contractor made a mistake. The weather expousure reacted with both of these ideas and multiplied the problem. The stuff was total junk to begin with like trex. Azek has a pretty good rep,a lot of folks are real happy with it,and they have a not bad customer service record but if the fine print says no labor thats pretty much what it means. Hang in there, while dealing with them keep in mind sometimes its good to mix a little sugar in with the vinegar. J....See Morecontinuous rail along top or have posts stick out and use caps
Comments (10)Post caps cost $10-$30 ea ($70-100 ea. for lighted). What's written in the contract? Who eats the extra charge if you go with post caps? And usually, it's easier to make the handrail system stronger by using a continuous cap rail. I'm not sure what your lumberyard guy was talking about. Common sense would dictate that a single continuous piece of wood (cap rail) would distribute side pressure better than individual 6' lengths of handrail. With wood railing systems, I usually use a continuous cap rail over the tops of the posts... but design choices are specified in the contract before I begin building. As to lovesummer's thought of wanting post caps on a cont. cap rail system, you can always add shorty posts on top of the continuous cap rail and fit the post caps on those. Align the shorty posts with the handrail posts and it will look like the post is coming up through the continuous cap rail. Mac...See MoreAzek vs RDI Railings
