live wire oak- Like happyafwife, in our area, ORB hasn't faded. It is used more often than not in new construction in the most upscale neighborhoods. That is why we felt 'safe' using it. I love the look of stained woodwork, too. But my old woodwork wasn't stained - it was a medium brown painted/glazed finish from the mid-1960's. After ~45 years and three owners, it looked terrible and needed to have something done. To strip and stain it all would have been cost prohibitive. So we opted to paint everything (cabinets, doors, baseboards, etc)a soft white. It makes the house look so much lighter and larger - I can't believe that too many potential buyers will be turned off by it.

jennsbabysky - I have had to return the old faucets to them in additional to sending in photos. They did agree to pay for the shipping after I pressed the point and spoke with someone in the corporate office in Canada. It has taken me many hours on the phone and many emails to try to resolve this issue. They did and do offer replacement parts pretty easily, but honestly after the failure of the shower valve and tub valves which caused us to tear out a huge fully tiled custom shower and tiled tub deck, I do not want to chance putting this brand back into my home, so I asked for a refund instead. I had my original receipts. After many calls it appears at this point that they will refund part of the fixtures that are not involved in an insurance claim due to the amount of damage that our shower and wood floors sustained. I will say that they have been very professional on the phone during every single call. But their process is very slow and I asked right up front when I filed the claim initially if they needed the faucets returned as stated on their website and was told repeatedly, no by all of the representatives. So three weeks later I can say that some of the communication between departments seems to be lacking. We are not talking about a lot of money relative to the amount of time and effort it has taken to resolve the matter. Their ability to balance the monetary value of a potential lifetime customer verses the bottom line, in my opinion, is not balanced. Perhaps a change in policy so that under a certain amount the customer is offered an opportunity to receive either parts or refund, might enable their customer service department to execute these claims more quickly. But that's just my opinion.

Good Evening, Thanks to DCS who originally posed the question (3 years) ago, I ended up taking a risk and purchased the SINKINGDOM Garbage Disposal SinkTop Air Switch Kit with Long Button, Brass Made Cover, Champagne Bronze from Amazon last month after I went down the Rabbit's Whole with a google search for the Northstar Decor Air switch in their Champagne Bronze Finished with lead me to Walmart who advertises the Northstar Decor Air Switch BUT I wasn't able to order the Champaign Bronze finish in particular. So, I crossed my fingers while I waited on the SINKINGDOM order from Amazon. Then, I did a comparison and went back to my Fabricator to schedule an appointment for two additional holes cut into my new pre-installed stone countertops. When the Fabricator arrived, we played around with the distance between my Delta Champaign Bronze Faucet and decided it would be best to try and space the two holes as far apart as possible (9" on both sides) of my faucet which was already centered in the middle of my (30" wide) oblong sink. As soon as the Fabricator left, I cleaned up and setup a dress rehearsal! I know the Champaign Bronze finishes aren't exactly the same but please let me know if you think the color/finish/tone of the Air Switch is worth some experimental touching up?

I got the YNL shower curtain rod recommended above from Amazon (thank you @Sarah Pecor!) and found these shower curtain hooks in brass that match pretty well from Parachute. They have a nice weight to them and when I walk in the room to me it all matches. They don’t stand out and don’t look super yellow which is what I’ve been trying to avoid. I find that brass looks different in different lighting and also different in person vs in pictures. To me it’s close enough and I’m happy with the closeness to my delta trinsic champagne brass hardware.
