Taking a progress pause working on our new brick walkway....it was cold!

Arabel the Westland terrier on the far right has passed due to complications from surgery. I walked this pair of Westland Terriers since they were 3 and 5 years old. Wallace is now 13 and Arabel was 15. She is greatly missed! Arabel and Wallace don't get along well with other dogs except for my dogs and of course the calm and gentle Adora the doodle. They loved her. My clients were shocked that they loved her. Wallace is the grumpiest but adores Adora.

Jmm - that's a beautiful room. Is the upper floor accessible to library users? I worked at a government library with a similar upper level and only library staff were allowed there, to retrieve requested items.

My parents had peacocks - they had wandered onto their farm and took up residence in the empty chicken coop. They had just one male and one female, and the male came first. He was a bit neurotic and starved for attention and would strut for anything with eyes that would look at him. When I took my cats to my parents' house for the summer while I was at university, one cat (who was agoraphobic) would stare, frozen in fear, at the peacock in the yard when I took him outside. The peacock was thrilled that he was getting attention and loved to strut for my fear-strucken cat. Peacocks make excellent watchdogs - if anyone ever drove up into our driveway, the peacock would make sure that my parents knew about it. I never thought of him as bad-tempered - just a bit vain and in need of attention. I still have some of his feathers to this day.
