let me show a bunch of pictures w/similar home styles, and diff landscaping that you could copy for your yard. See what you like.

If you've never heard of this, read up on it. It's a natural lime for your brick that requires no maintenance and will naturally wear over the decades. won't hurt the brick comes in this masonry or a limewash application

You could do the brick and possibly change some of the siding to a board and batten.

Hardscape, flowerbeds, lighting, posts, etc, complete the look

If you want to keep the shutters, try this look. and a limewash on the brick. notice the yard, garage door, windows

a bit more modern design

black or bronze windows, dark siding, limed brick, new garage door, hardscape, etc

Think about doing this type of tiered walkway along side the driveway up the front porch area. (ignore everything else, just look at teh steps)

or check out this one. this is a very similar style house. look at the AFter shot and the yard.

if you want to stick w/the brick, then try these colors for siding, trim and a new garage door

a Deep Rich Rust/Maroon color, similar to the brick color would be rich,

to unify the brick & siding.

The trim color you have would be a pretty contrast.

Painting the garage door and the upper siding darker to unify the color in the brick body would make the house look more grand. It would make the shutters stand out, too.

The front door needs to be more welcoming, any shade of Blue is a great compliment to the brick color.

Evergreens with Varigated leaves are always a beautiful, natural landscape planting scheme.

Verticle planted pots on the corners of the garage to soften, and colorful azaleas in front of the porch, rather than the full mound shrubs?

You might break out those pads either side of the drive for flower beds. I would remove the arched trim between the porch posts and make it straight, with square 8x8 posts. If those are louvered shutters, I would do without them or replace them with a solid model. Windows in the top of the garage door would be an improvement, and increasing lantern lights to be 1/3 of the front door's height. I think the ones at the front door need to be raised a tad higher too. Remove the squatty bushes for a good start on landscaping. Then take pix and head to your local landscape or nursery center to get a plan together that you can install over time. Your roof looks to be burgundy and wet on my monitor. Perhaps a new photo when it is dry would help with a direction for color.

It would help if you could post some photos of front facades of homes you like into your Ideabook. Good ideas here but not sure what styles you like, how extensive you wish to go, etc. Thanks.
