Hate to say this, but re-wash the walls with a POWDERED cleaner like Dirtex or Spin-n-Span!! ONLY then....keep using your existing primer! ANY QUALITY paint in a Satin or higher sheen will do fine. Just do TWO full coats, and let paint dry a day b4 a load of steam hits it!! * A good Mildewcide, like M-1, can be added to ANY Latex paint if you've had that issue. * Over the repair spots, brush a hazy coat of primer FIRST. * When that's dry...apply the normal full coat of primer everywhere. * This way, you'll have ~ 1.5 coats of primer on the THIRSTY patch spots!! * Now....your paint coats won't have ANY sheen variation! Here you can see what I did in our bath: 1) Repairs filled & sanded flush. Dust washed off all surfaces. 2) Gray primer brushed over repair spots. 3) Spray-texture then sprayed over these areas. 4) The blob on lower-right hadn't been spray-text. yet. It was one of the towel-bar holes. 5) The gray edge is of course my cut-in for the full coat of primer, applied when spray-tex spots were dried. 6) My final result?? Flawless paint sheen & evenness of new text.-spray!! Other side of shower, showing the FULL coat of primer being applied over that repaired/sanded/brush-primed/spray-tex. area. Vanity side of bath, showing fan cover off, and fussy repairing/priming/texturing there too! Final look! Waayyy too much flash here I guess, but.... A pic/angle that doesn't show lights/camera-flash!! There WERE other repair spots here where the old towel bar was!! Faron

thanks everyone for your votes! i think we have narrowed it down to going with blues or the creamy whites. emmarene, i liked the green too but DH nixed the oranges or greens. atkillery, i agree the tans would not be crisp enough. mayflowers and crl, thank you for the suggestion to pick the white from the accent tile! i don't know why that thought never crossed my mind, lol. that is why i need you folks :-) annie, DH and i both like the wedgwood too and think it could give more contrast/impact, just have to see if it will be too dark. tibbrix, i really like the idea of white wainscoting and then blue on top, I am not sure i can do the wainscoting now though as we have 6" tile baseboards installed? here is a pic of our walls, just primed. I guess a creamy white might look similar? I'll try to photoshop in some blues for you guys to see too. with so many color choices, it was so hard for me to narrow it down, so thank you! now we just need to pick the perfect shade!

With the photoshoped images I showed above, I was just playing around with the paint bucket. Example #4 is putrid IMO, but I put it up there to show that this could be a wrong direction to go with color. I really like the #5 too @sloyder. I also like #2, #6, and even #7. I think the peach colors might work if they were deeper and more grayed down. As they are in the above images they seem to "bright" to me, too clean.

It doesn't really read "Tuscan" to me -- just - brown. Since you're looking to sell, I would not put Sea Salt on the walls, but would either keep the current wall color or paint with a very light neutral similar to what's already there (if, in fact, the room needs painting - but from what I can tell, the walls are in good condition). I might consider, instead, adding color in the form of a more interesting shower curtain that brought in a bit more of the green and hanging a nice piece of art on the wall. As a prospective buyer, I would rather see a very neutral bathroom that I could put my own stamp on. Mostly, I'd want to see clean, clean, clean bathrooms in good working condition -- and yours certainly appears to be.
