Hi Susan, Sorry I don't know these plants except to say they are in the Gesneriad Family & that GW does have Gesneriad Forum (see top of from page here). Am guessing if you post there, you'll get some reasonable suggestions. Until then, if you think this plant is the source, pls. consider moving it well away from the rest of your collection so it doesn't spread further. Pretty Plant & Good luck!

the_man_fern - Tish mentioned 2 issues - potbound and too hot. Could be it. I would add - may be the soil is too heavy? If they are not repotted for sometime - the soil deteriorates, it is - yes Tish- potbound - and they become susceptible to rot. You need to repot them - I would say every 6 months and you need to divide them like irises - cut out a new fresh shoot, better if with some roots - reroot it under cover - and toss the rest. And if you see one wilting - perform the "surgery" I described ASAP. Good luck Irina

Audrey, a couple of questions. Is the parent leaf variegated? How much light is the leaf and babies receiving? From my observation this appears to be too little light. However, if the light is adequate you may want to give the plantlet a fertilizer with a slightly higher nitrogen fertilizer to help green the plantlets. Dave

Repot it, add 30% perlite to the soil. When you pot it - make the plant the King of the hill - the center should be above the rim. The new growth needs a lot of air and is damaged if the soil around it is too wet - and any soil compresses with time. So it is totally a culture problem, not any kind of infection. You caught it early, so it is easily corrected. The damaged young leaves will grow out of it.. kinda.
