Honeysuckle 'Peaches and Cream'

Elana
last year

I have a flower box with a trellis on my patio. It is mostly in the shade. I really want to plant a honeysuckle there as I think it will tolerate the shade and I really want the fragrance. I am trying to avoid the highly invasive Japanese honeysuckle (though it will be confined to a box on my patio). However, I really am questioning if any of the others are worth planting at all if fragrance is my priority. I found this variety, 'Peaches and Cream,' that sounds like it might work, but I am not convinced it will be fragrant. I have seen too many honeysuckles branded as fragrant, but with practically no scent at all when I try them at the nursery. I want one I can enjoy enjoy while sitting at my patio table - not just when my nose is buried in the flowers. So basically... will any variety besides the invasive japonica fit the bill? What about this Peaches and Cream variety in particular?
