Thanks for all the positive feedback on the island. It is hard to tell in the picture but the color of the island is Acadia White by benjamin moore. It is actually a pottery barn white and is a little more cream colored than the white shutters. I am liking the brown stools as well, it's unanimous, they are staying!!! bluekitobsessed, yes, this was a quick weekend project. I guess when i have my mind set on something i want in down now. I know, i need to take heed of the "patience is a virtue" proverb, haha. Thanks again for looking and all the encouraging words. Moonkat99, lol, no this kitchen isn't always that clean. With 3 kids and a DH that is next to impossible. I guess when i take pics i instinctively clean before any pictures are actually taken.

I wouldn't use anything inside a shower with all the recessed edges that will be hard to keep clean. The big panels also look out of place to me, and likely won't fit exactly so you could end up with odd edge pieces. Either use a flat fan tile on all three walls, or some combo of fan and subway tile. If you keep the grout the same color as the tile it won't look too busy, and will give you much better function.

@cat_ky, it's in the design phase and nothing is built. It's a new home that hasn't started yet. So I don't have a photos to share.

@Katie B. we put a large piece of black paper there to get an idea, but it was too severe. We also will be mounting a flat screen TV in the space as well. So if not black, which one?
