companion plants showing off

So all these are companions to roses but other than the first one (Spirit of Freedom with artic rose foxglove), I feel like the companions are showing off a bit more. The second picture is of lily corsage with rose Aunt Margy, the third picture is Earth Angel clematis with Aunt Margy too. The arbor is clematis Betty Corning with rose Felicia (who is seriously underperforming).

Prince Charles clematis and Mme Anisette, Mme Julia Correvon clematis with Annie Laurie M. Rose, and Jackmanii clematis (rose is hidden from view but it is Crepuscule.

I like gray as a background color because it goes well with white, red, blue, yellow, orange, pink...you name it plus all the in-between shades of each one. If I can ever afford to have my house sided, it will be some shade of gray.

No I do not use leaf shine, I actually don't like the use of that stuff. There are shiny becuase I put my plants outdoors in the Summer, and in the Winter I spray the leaves often with water.

I love Betty Corning, too. And I'm especially liking the first combo of the subtle Arctic Rose foxglove and Spirit of Freedom rose. What a sophisticate match up. It's so difficult to grow nice foxgloves in this dry area. Diane

Thank you all! I love Betty too. She was kind of neglected in my Indy garden but I dug her up and brought her with me. She seems to like it here in Georgia.

Diane, you might want to try this variety of foxglove. It is supposed to be more perennial throughout the US.

Mas, I loved your foxglove so much I got more info, and not only is it supposed to be perennial, it comes in several colors. If I make it down to Edwards again soon, I'll see if they have it. Online the prices for the plant were sky high. I love your new place and all the wonderful spots you have to work with. You're doing such a classy job of it. More pics, please. Diane

Thank you, Diane! Hope you are able to find it locally. I keep editing the space over and over. I’m afraid that I’ve placed way to many plants and once they grow it will look like a jungle. Lol.
