feedback on choosing a light cream colored Crypton fabric for sofas o

Barb Wise
last year

I am getting closer to choosing fabric to redo our Thayer Coggins sofa and loveseat from 1980. Excellent condition and upholsterer says these are well made enough to redo. We like the size and low profile look so they will be redone. After 40 years of red, I am considering going really light. They are in the living room so they have much less traffic than the family room. I feel that the light cream tones are best with my teak furniture and stained oak trim. Am I asking for trouble with a fabric this light? I got quite scared when I read posts about dye from jeans ruining couches. I don’t want these to be “look but don’t sit” couches. I looked at some tan tones that the interior decorator thought were too boring. Feedback appreciated.
