Believe it or not I got Ducher instead of Duchess of Brabant last week. That is really funny. Same exact problem but, I got mine from Chamblee's. Luckily, I noticed it 2 days later when I was planting it. I called them right up and they apologized and sent me my Duchess on Monday. It should be here by Thursday. The best part was they told me to keep Dutcher. Of course, being that they were sending another order, I had to add to it. It must be a label thing as when I first opened the Box and looked at all the Labels I didn't notice it either. I think we both got lucky as I've done some homework on Dutcher and think we'll grow to like him. Dan

Drippy's right, plunk those babies back in, add some potting soil where needed, water them. How about the eye part of a hook and eye latch screwed into your wall, secure your plant stand with a piece of plastic cord or clothes line. I've got a couple of things held into place that were loosened here with those eye screws.... We had winds too. Heck with the plants house, I thought my own was going to blow away. The 100' tree laying on it may have been holding in down :) No front porch windows left and that was only wind, not the tree. I have a blown-loose sambucus tied to the front of my house with one of those eye screws, another holding a now tippy trellis steady until we can get to a more permanent fix. Those plants are tougher than you think :) If pieces of any of them broke by being dumped on their heads, it may be a good idea to remove anything jagged with sharp pruners so you don't run the risk of secondary damage by insects or disease. Good clean cuts heal faster.

Yes, the tub drain can be capped right below the subfloor and tile over it. Have your plumber check out the tub vent - it may need to be capped or just left alone. Put a nice shower head / hand shower set in your shower - maybe something by Hansgrohe. If your hall bath is not very deep than it is just good for bathing young children - not adult soaking baths. That should be fine for resale. If a bath person wants to buy your house, they can install a deep soaker in the hall bath.

When you give a mouse a cookie .... That's what happened to us. Kitchen remodel - check. Replace the knob and tube wiring in the whole house to the tune of $18k - check. Bump out the back of the kitchen to move the laundry room inside - check. Stucco the bumped out kitchen - check. Landscape the back yard because the new windows in the bumped out kitchen look over the back yard - check. Build a wrought iron fence and haul in loads of crushed granite to keep the dogs in one portion of the yard and not tear up the new landscaping - check. Add more flagstone patio to connect the existing patio to the new bumped out kitchen - check. Paint the brick on the outside of the house - check. Go ahead and paint all of the window trim and wood work around the house - check. Replace the garage doors because the new bump out of the kitchen went into the posts of the garage - check. Get the flagstone guys to install brick over the new stucco on one side of the house so it all matches on that side - check. Rip up the carpet and refinish the original hardwood floors in the DR, LR and hallway - check. Enjoy it immensely - check A year and a half later, start it all over again with bathrooms. And reworking every closet in the whole house. And repainting the whole house. And repairing and making the 75 yr old painted doors look new. And adding insulation. And on and on and on. It was suggested before we ever started to tear the whole thing down and start from scratch. It may have been cheaper. :)
