sink dilemma.. help me choose please!
Comments (2)Sorry about your granite. What kind was it? That's a cool sink. I don't recall seeing both kinds of mounts in one kitchen, but I'm sure its been done. And I'm sure it would be fine! For me, I think about function more than form. If the function is right for you, that's what matters....See MoreBathroom remodel design dilemma - PLEASE HELP!
Comments (5)We plan to keep the same layout and the bathroom is not adjoining to a bedroom. I refer to it as our ‘guest bathroom’ but it’s technically used for the 2 bedrooms we have upstairs that we use for guests. :)...See MorePlease help with my design dilemma!
Comments (9)Yes, this is what we get with a San Francisco house! We love the character and history, of our 1930s built home, but it comes with its own challenges. Thank you for the ideas - we have toyed around with everything you suggested, but, the TV can't be moved :) The only place that we can get cable/internet access in this room is in the spot, and even that was a challenge to get accomplished! So, we're stuck with the location that its in. I'm less concerned about toying with the layout at this point (it actually works for us), and more interested in figure out what seating I would supplement the couch with. To answer your question, I wouldn't put 4 chairs in the room.. I would either have 3 total chairs (DWR chair or its replacement + 2 along the easel wall) or 1 chair (DWR or its replacement) and a loveseat. We do need to replace the random chair next to the easel though.. that's what kicked off this entire thing!...See Moreshower tile - please help to choose one
Comments (23)I think the shower is actually the nicest looking thing in the room. replacing it with grey tile that doesn't match will make that room even more mismatched and chaotic. (the tub is yellow toned while the floor is pinkish). if it were my bathroom and could only do a few things, I'd redo the tub and floor. sorry but the mosaic tiles are dated and busy, especially if this tends to be a little bit of a cluttered space. (I totally undrestand that in "real" life, spaces can sometimes get cluttered and that's ok. but the mosaic is adding to the chaotic feel if you know what I mean?) then paint and try to find some good organization solutions. one of the reasons why I like your shower is the easy maintenance of solid surface. the more grout you have, the more mold issues down the line. plus you will have to occasionally reseal that grout, which will be a bit of a pain with the tiny floor tiles. maybe swap the door with frameless if it's possible to do just that....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
