Dark Purple plicata, looks 'older' like 70s 80s - Its hard to tell if there is any yellow/orange on the beard tips or throat, or is it solid blue. There is only a small amount of white in the standards... ground appears pure white...

Stepping out is common older, has some yellow/orange in the beard though and maybe not so dark as the picture shows. If you are comparing pictures, I would key on the beard color and the amount of white in the standards

It's Dark Purple plicata, a deep purple hybrid of the Spathoglottis orchids. They can grow well in the ground, which is why they are also called ground orchids. They are easy to grow, and the flowers are large, usually in clusters.

Alicia, I think you have the correct iris with Stepping Out. The beard does change from purple to yellow and the purple markings are amazingly similar. Thanks so much!
