Im now sold on the table against the wall - breaks up long bare blue wall and allows for conversational seating to be more natural, not awkwardly broken up. Ive giving thought about the comment on how many chairs there are too. Especially how dining chairs would mostly go unused while we dont want to give up option for eating outside, despite being rarely. Thinking dining chairs could be as the the rug seating. Theyve arms as photo above shows so could still relax in them. This would mean not buying additional swivel chairs. Using one of two larger stationary chairs ordered at grill, other one besides table or down by pool.

If I get to the coast, I have a really hard time leaving paradise and making day trips to see other places, so I'd probably never make it to Astoria, except it's on my way DOWN to paradise...but if you get bored, or the weather isn't great, maybe you'll venture out. I ate at a nice restaurant in Astoria recently and while searching for the name to post here, (it's Bridgewater Bistro - good food, nice place!) I came upon this recommendation as one of the 10 best restaurants outside of Portland. I'd definitely try it on my next visit. Albatross Albatross (address and info) Astoria Helmed by the dude behind Thistle in McMinnville, and ex-PDX Chef Eric Bechard, this cooly laid-back, brick-walled eatery is heavy on the reclaimed touches (an ancient cash register, a retro stereo, etc.), and on farm-to-table eats like boldly flavored clams, and one of Oregon's best burgers w/ caramelized onions & a smooth white cheese sauce on a pillow-soft bun.

Tape the furniture patterns on the floor. The fireplace is a long distance from the kitchen. I like the idea of mounting to the left of the glass doors. Put cabinets or shelves on either side of the fireplace, put a similar console under the tv. Float a sofa (not to big and not a sectional) facing the tv. Chairs that swivel from sofa to tv give you more flexibility and are better for entertaining. Your existing chairs can sit on either side of the fireplace. Rug under sofa and complementary smaller rug in front of fireplace will define the areas. Put a small, low coffee table in front of the fireplace. I wouldn’t put the tv over the fireplace. The furniture you will have to put in front will take up the space you need for walking between outside and the library. That would be too much going on. Put solar shades over the glass doors if you are worried about light. Now, if you don’t have a place for a kitchen table elsewhere or are entertaining board game players, then put a round table and chairs near the kitchen and the sitting area near the fireplace with the fireplace mounted tv ( make sure you have a way on that fireplace to hide wires and manage heat).

To start I like the grill and the dining table to be as close to the kitchen as possible. As for furniture what is your interior style? I like to have some cintinuity from the inside to the outside . Plants are really something best chosen at a garden center in your specific area. Big pots work best and IMO the bigger the better for watering and for impressive plant and color display. At this time of year Costco usually has some great choices in outdoor furniture so maybe start there.This would be a nice color I think and I lo ve that there are loungers in the same style.
