Comments (7)Everyone's monitor reads color differently so it's hard to make informed comments on pale tans and beiges and grays. Are you able to get a sample board of the tile you like? Then you can see how it works with the your counters and your cabinets and your lighting situation. I agree with your friend that there is a danger of the tile looking peach or pink. A lot of people don't decide on a splash until everything else is in. I love the shape that you picked. It will add a nice layer texture to your kitchen. One final thing - no more crying! Comments (4)It's so hard to really know without pictures. What style are your cabinets? If they are very contemporary I think a black glass backsplash could look great (I'm actually envisioning a glass mosaic with the long skinny tiles in a variety of colors (black, white, gray, etc.). If your cabinets veer more toward traditional or transitional, I think I'd rather see something lighter that matches the cabinets....See MoreWhat colour backsplash

last monthcolor .i like the first two..the very pale green in a glass could be interesting. a break from all the terracotta / s west . the color is good anyway with the wood and the black. the last shot is a good tile just a hint of color..in ceramic tile if you want that but a different grout color of course.

don't be afraid to step outside the box w/this one. SW kitchens are about color and design.I think the darker tiles (or the terra cotta) look better than a white would. here's your granite w/a light tile
