Black windows... and door?

I'm painting all of my inside and outside window trim black. I'm thinking of leaving the kids playroom and both of the kids bedrooms windows white. There's a huge window in the living room that will be black as well as the slider in the dining room.
My question is: do I need to paint the inside of the front door black or can I keep it white? Wondering if it will look weird. Also, will it look weird if the playroom windows are white (since the playroom is open and visible from the living room)?

Trim paint should look good with your wall paint and your floors. What color walls will you have? Are you likely to change the color scheme every two or three years or more like ten years from now?

A couple easy test runs for the black door idea: You can paint a large foamcore board with the black trim paint, then prop it up on the inside of your front door. Or tape a large black trash bag over the door.

I need to see your house and IMO all windows on the exterior should be the same what you do inside is all windows you can see together should be the same , bedrooms can be quite diddernt than the resyt of the house inside . As for the front door we need context .

I have the original dark bronze windows on 3/4 of my house. At some point, about 15 years after it was built, someone decided they were ugly and dated and replaced some when they added a small addition. The 30 year old crapppy quality white vinyl windows that they chose need to go. I’m suckking eggs on the 1500 each price of something equivalent to the originals though. Be very careful in following trends. If you are someone that does that instead of having a consistent style that transcends 30 years of orange shag carpet, blue geese kitchens, hunter green and burgundy bedrooms, and white on white Peacockian kitchens, then you might be OK choosing a great quality dark colored window. But if you’re carrying around Home Goods stuff from house to house and want gray floors, then you too will want to rip things apart in 10 years. Which is silly and wasteful. And costs you way more long term.

When the white of the recessed contact becomes noticeable as in the scenario you mentioned above we will usually ask the Interior Designer to spec us a paint that will match the windows and doors and use that to paint over the contact. Recessed contacts have no issue with paint.

If you’re wanting a more monochromatic look, yes the awning color would work well.
