I had to google buckboard wagon to find out what it is. lol I'd dress up your scarecrow to look like Santa. Then I'd make/find a few rustic reindeer to pull it.-- add a big bag for gifts,and if you can find some of those old chaser lights you can wind them around your wagon wheels to look like its moving. OR I'd try to be funny and get some kids clothes and make elves, only they'd be in a band (washboards, old guitars, etc) but they'd be drunk. I wonder if you can download some elven music sung by drunken elves. lol or I'd watch the free sites and get a BIG faux christmas tree and I'd light it up with white lights (just that, no other lights) and I'd make some bird seed ornaments to go on it with garland made from peanuts on fishing line,etc. That way its rustic/natural during the day, and a great focal point at night. and then after christmas is over, I'd shovel all my snow into it, and put a big "free snow" sign in the middle of the pile. (watch the weight-- you don't want to ruin your wagon) OR a snowman in a bikini with a sign saying "think spring" I guess it depends on if you want it to be serious and classy or funny and cheesy. I flip-flop back and forth between them-- it keeps my neighbors on their toes. They never know what I'll do next.

Time slips away very fast! ~~hugs & today I got to be outside for a few hours with some volunteers ... my dear hubby & I cut branches from our pines & collected cones & decorated some of the flower urns in our small town but this old green wagon @ the Heritage Park garden lots ... we also put up the barnwood tree there today ... removed frozen pumpkins, gourds & mush since it's been freezing temps for a few weeks now ! NHB, I feel for you. My memory is not what it used to be and I'm always losing things I'm sure I "know" where they are. Or like the Packer Jersey I bought for our granddaughter that lives in Hawaii and whose Daddy is a Raiders fan. I was sure I remembered going to the post office and mailed it before I left for Cali the first of December and it had not arrived by the time we did in Hawaii the Sunday before Christmas. This morning as I was moving the bar stools to sweep and mop the kitchen floor there was the bag from Target with the extra Kashi Granola bars I meant to take with me to Cali and the Packer jersey. Guess I'll be making a trip to the post office later today to mail it. I wonder what I mailed when I thought I mailed the jersey as I remember the conversation I had with the postal clerk. LOL My hubby and I have been talking about building an extra three car garage with a studio loft for all my sewing, crafts and wood working projects, but have yet to find the plan or someone to build it, as he hasn't the time now that he's traveling again. Our two car garage and most of a room in our basement is fill with old furniture I've purchased waiting to be refinished. The problem is I've no room to work on it! Another reason to hire a maid so I can have time to organize the wood work shop in the basement. Hubby has finally realized we needed and bought storage cabinets for the rest of the woodworking tools. We've not had the time to get down there together and work though. Maybe today when he gets home from his hair cut. Yep. I bet he'll agree too.

Like nhb, my mom liked to get the holiday decorations put away before the New Year. Since I set our tree up on Thanksgiving weekend and decorate pretty soon after that around the house, I've pretty much followed that schedule since by the end of December it's been a month+. This year for some reason although I got the tree down and collected all my holiday decor to store for another year, I have procrastinated in packing and putting all the various decorations away. I have a system in place, with all my holiday storage bins colored red or green, or with those color lids so they are easily visible in our loft. I number each bin and have a corresponding master list of box contents by number. So when it's time to decorate and I want the boxes of ornaments, I just go to my list and pull out boxes 1, 2 and 3 for example. Anyway, I do rearrange and shift each year which means having to edit my master list....and I've just not felt in the mood to do that. So I have lots of boxes and stuff to be put away that are just sitting in our florida room (AKA home of random objects). Maybe I'll make myself work tonight, unless I laze out and resolve to do it tomorrow :).
