Most likely, you have a problem with the hydro. I am not trying to slam what you own but the L-series machines are noted for hydro issues that could have been prevented had Deere insisted on a hydro that could be serviced by the homeowner. An annual oil change is something that I think would extend the life of these hydro's several times over but I wonder if making them unserviceable is just part of the planned obsolescence for these tractors. As I understand it, there is no drain plug on these hydro's and one can speculate as to the huge savings that was realized by not having this device. Others are welcome to chime in here that are more experienced on this product than I am. The way I see it, you don't have much to lose at this point. If it was my tractor, I would remove the trans-axle and turn it upside down to allow the oil to drain out the fill plug that I believe is there. Once I was satisfied that it was empty, I'd refill it with fresh oil. I'm sure that someone will tell you which type of oil to use. Yes.. I think that you have a low oil issue and along with an oil that is essentially worn out from a viscosity standpoint. Overall, the L-Series are not all that bad a unit but no one should have to replace a hydro/trans-axle after a mere six years of use. That's disgusting. If this procedure works out for you, then I suggest that you repeat it very second year from this point on to extend the life of your tractor to a more reasonable figure.

Can you get a "click clack" drain? You push it down to close it , and push it again to pop it up. We just had those installed in our Lacava sinks. Only had them a week, but I really like the way they work. After all, what do you have in a sink, that you cannot put your hand in to touch the drain to let the water out? Then you don't need the pull up jobbies on the faucets. Probably the best bet is to check with the sink manufacturer. -Babka

A neighbor was trapping coyotes. They are killing his livestock and such. There are so many of them. We live a couple hours away and a neighbor was checking them daily while he was away. He called and told us there was a bobcat trapped. My husband drove right down and drove up on the hill. It was dark so they knew they couldn't release it. My hubby knew he needed to leave a piece of clothing close by for the human sent so a coyote wouldn't kill it. He left a jacket on a bush. They are a protected specie. We don't trap but you can't stop someone else from doing it when it is legal to do so. We just keep an eye on them because they are close to our property.

I agree with Alice. A partial that's going to get worse. "nothing else is backing up" is probably because the lines are longer, and they are backing up, but not to the point you can see it. I had this issue in my old house and came to find out it was tree roots invading the old cast main drain under the front lawn. Had to have it routed out, then had to apply root killer. Fortunately, the tree was very old snd vigorous, so it didn't kill the tree.
