Interesting. I have several plants that seem to be growing OK except that they seem to be experiencing Damping Off Fungus as I have to prop them up. They also seem almost wilted looking and some are a little yellowish looking but otherwise they seem to be growing well. I hope watering with a peroxide solution will help out...it seems to address the problems I am experiencing any way. I am not worried about getting the 30% stuff since I a gallon of solution will go a long way for me and one pint bottle of the 3% solution should make a couple gallons of the mixture for sick/fungusy plants according to the mixing directions link posted earlier. I wonder if maybe I shouldn't do what was suggested earlier and treat some of the plants and not the others to see what difference it makes. Pepperpikker

I'd thought they absorb that through leaves? Root oxygenation is important--but only for root growth. Roots won't grow in oxygen-deprived soils, so some H2O2 might temporarily help, but... Well, if you're down to that point, simply aerating the soil in the pot would be far more effective. Or replacing the soil if it'sthat badly compacted. Establishment of a fungal network, if possible, might also help. That can be somewhat more challenging in a pot environment, but it can be done. People do regularly claim it can't but...been there, done that, observed it under a microscope. Outdoors, this should not be an issue except in a bog environment or a garden that's overtilled.

The beauty of Hydrogen Peroxide is that you can go out early in the morning and spray it on, and by the time the sun comes out, it's done it's work and has become benign, so the sun does not burn the leaves like it does when certain things, like soap, are applied. We have had a mild summer here, at least what is considered mild in NE OK. I think there was only one triple-digit day. During the last several years, we have had heat as high as 114º and that's the actual temperature and not just the "feels like" temperature! Mercy! Hard to even breathe out there, especially if it's a little humid, too. So this year, I still actually have some stuff still alive in the garden. The hybrid tomatoes I started from seed in January have started to produce again, although I am still not impressed by what they produce. I started some of my heirlooms from seed inside the house in July and those were hardened off under the shade of the patio cover and have been planted in the garden for about a month now. They are blooming, and some have bitty tomatoes on. My beans are finally producing but the grasshoppers continue to be a problem. I find the grasshoppers sleeping on the okra plants in the mornings. Grrrrrr. Anyway, I hope you find these videos helpful, too!

Davidrt28 I kinda figured they would be fine I just wasn't sure haha. I'm new to growing anything lol. That's ridiculous that a premade solution is $15 it's pathetic, but that's companies and the economy for ya. And the damage I saw was quite a few leaves would just have a little yellow hue and they'd be pretty weak, a tiny breeze would be enough to make those yellow leaves fall off the plant. Even some leaves that were really green and healthy looking just snapped off the plant with very little wind, some were very limp and brittle though, they kinda looked as if it would be really thirsty for water, but not on all the leaves only certain individual ones. And hydrogen main use is to help with any fungal infections going on with the soil or certain infections within the plant itself. And it's also a good fungus gnat larvae killer.
