I hear ya on the "I just stopped with I saw it." I think I saw the 9 or 10 pendant light where they cascade down in length in a circular pattern. So pretty! I'd get 3 also. I'm old school and generally prefer doing things in odd numbers. Especially with a light that size. Have seen pretty things in 2s though too! Umm... you could scratch them with some 0000 steel wool and call them brushed chrome! ;o) (They are actually selling brushed chrome I saw for the first time today. May not be new but I do live under a rock sometimes.) People will be so taken with the Fizz they won't notice the chrome! =) I also ran from chrome for the past many years, but am finding it refreshingly... shiny! =) I actually couldn't get my guest bath fixture - which I just HAD to have - in BN so got chrome. Which led to a chrome bath light in that bath. Actually, with the Carrara I'll have in the baths I think chrome may be a better choice than the BN. And... thanks for the info on the bathroom ones. I haven't seen them in person and so wasn't sure. If they are gorgeous in person they are so going in the master bath! :) Yay! Another decision made! I searched for one light and found it the cheapest online at a place that felt sketchy to me. But, LampsUSA had it and they have a 120% low price guarantee. So, I bought it from them, received it, sent them the URL for the one at a lower price, and got my refund within hours. So I got it for 20% cheaper than the cheapest online retailer! Score! :) All this to say maybe you can find a deal on a dining room light this weekend. OK... last random thought - could you spray paint the dining room light chrome as a temporary fix?

Artemis - Although I have not seen the exact finish of these manufactures, I can say that I have a antique bronze fixture from Wilmette and the overall effect is soft black. I also have some cheap ORB fixtures and again the overall effect is soft black. I am not every staring at them as I do when researching. You walk in and see the dark fixture with the glass dome (prism in my case) and it does not overwhelm at all but provides accent. Right now I have some cheap ORB pendants temporarily in over my island and several people like the effect. I think that that tone would look really nice with your darker counters as an accent. I find that PN or SN fixtures sort of blend into the ceiling, which can be good or bad depending on what you want to do. I am mixing finishes for that exact reason. The pendant over the sink is larger and has the antique bronze finish against the white trim of the windows -- looks lovely. The pendants (when they finally come in) are much smaller, with prism shade in a different shape with a SN finish in an attempt to get them to blend and primarily provide light and a semi-transparent echo to the larger more prominent fixture. Since it sounds like your shades are the same not sure if you should mix metals. But you could use the PN on the ceiling if you wanted them to blend more.

Oh man, those Rebecca Zaveloff kitchen are to DIE for, I probably shouldn't have looked! It does sort of remind me that if I had a million dollars to spend, I could have some REALLY nice stuff :) I actually spent my entire morning not working, but trying to figure out how I could get a French bistro table almost exactly like the one that's near the banquette in the Webster kitchen on that site. I would love a narrow marble topped table with an iron trestle base. Gorgeous.

The two of them are in the same open space. quite close together. The (black one) up above the top of the staircase but before the landing, is the only different one. They can all be seen at once together. It just made more sense to keep the fixtures that are metal in a similar colour. One could use other kinds or colours in the kitchen or family room etc. I maybe wrong but that was my thought process. Thank you..
