Input on cabinet brands

Jennifer
last year

Building a new construction and have several quotes back for cabinets. With the crazy costs of materials we will be over budget. Not expecting top of the line quality but want to ensure we don't have a bad product either. All of these would have dovetail drawers, soft close, upgraded to all plywood. Slightly leaning towards Merillat Classic as they have the color we like and a good price but i have read great reviews and bad reviews. I believe Kraftmaid is better quality but is it worth another $6k.

We are doing grey with a navy island. We would prefer grey stain over paint but some brands only have the paint.

Still waiting on pricing from Kemper and Wolf.

In order of least to most expensive:

Valleywood - RTA cabinets but the company assembles (grey paint)

Merillat Classic (grey stain)

Fabuwood (grey stain)

Waypoint (grey paint)

Shrock (grey paint)

Kraftmaid (grey stain)

Would like to hear any experiences you have with these brands.
