Exterior Painting (HELP)- lots of nail size and slightly larger holes

last modified: last year

The professional painters I hired just got done with priming and then applying first coat of paint.

Later in the day during walk-around I am finding a lot of nail sized and slightly larger holes all over the siding. They are obvious and ruin the look of new paint. My paint color is a light color so the holes stick out like a sore thumb. Also I am worried that moisture can get through these holes.

Should the professional painters not have taken care of these holes before they started painting???What is my recourse? What needs to be done to fix this?

Is it too late considering they already put in the first coat of paint?

Keep in mind I am paying over 12k for the job so expect professional results. Does this not qualify?
