What LifeProof vinyl flooring pairs well with knotty pine walls?

We are building a new house with a "lodge" theme. All our walls are knotty pine. Having a difficult time picking what LifeProof luxury vinyl flooring to use. I've read so many suggestions my head is spinning. E.g. shouldn't be too busy, gray is good but not cool gray, should be darker than the walls, should match the warm tone... Has anyone used LifeProof flooring that pairs well with your knotty pine? Or could suggest one of the many many LifeProof options? Thank you!

Hello, we have a small sunroom ( western side of the house) has knotty pine wood on the walls, ceiling and up into the cut out Skylight areas. The area up in the sky light reflected drip like black water marks on it so we decided to paint the ceiling (had the skylights replaced three months ago and we know the Knotty Pine is in fine shape otherwise). We decided to paint the ceiling, including up in the recessed sky light areas. started with the Bin primer, put two coats, then started to see an Amber-colored film coming through. Unfortunately the painter then added two coats of a latex paint. The amber color is still coming through. I'm wondering if it's old sap that which from the heat of the sun coming through the skylights. Suggestions on how I tackle this project at this point considering we have two layers of den and two layers of latex paint and the amber color is coming through just like we simply did a white wash.

Pine ceiling...what color should go on the walls?

All the trim and all the ceilings in our house are natural cypress. Our floors are wide t&g pine with a bit of stain to mimic older wood. There are no white walls here. Personally, I always feel like white walls with wood trim looks a little cold. I see it all the time, so it must appeal to others more than it does to me. YMMV. In our house, we have the following wall colors paired with the wood: foyer, hallways, study: Moonshine (Eddie Bauer color from Olympic) living room: Billiard Green (Olympic) kitchen & dining room: Blue (Ben Moore) master bedroom: Barn Red (SW) guest bedroom: La Fonda Antique Red (Olympic Historic series) son's bedroom: La Fonda Deep Blue (Olympic Historic series) IME, greens, reds and blues work very well with pine/cypress. Beige, cream, yellow and taupe are all rather tricky but not impossible. The Moonshine we have in the foyer is a very pale creamy yellow that just glows. It does very well with the woodwork, as well as serving as a buffer color between some of the other more dramatic hues.

So much great advice (and no judgement - thank you!) — I wanted to update, we’ve confirmed it’s only shellac! Thankfully, and we’ll be working on removing as much as possible tomorrow, with heat off and windows open. Pics below, including my husband cleaning his mess lol. Great tips on the floor - you’re points are right on, and given the work the walls will be I’d like an easier alternative for the floors for sure. The left window is actually a door that a previous owner caulked shut, but we’re planning to open and make functional again. Otherwise there isn’t much room for anything, but it would be ideal to move the sink elsewhere to have more wiggle room in the “bathroom”. We did take a quick look today at more narrow utility sink/ vanity combos, and while not perfect should be an improvement. At this point it feels that is still quite far in the future, but hopeful the shellac removal is quicker than I anticipate. Once again THANK YOU, I have been so delighted to find such a knowledgeable (and patient) community!!!

What should I do with all this Knotty Pine and concrete floors?

I‘d consider each room individually. Would lighten all the beans and in living and dining rooms, keep everything else as is. Decor choices will have a big impact. I’d definitely paint the cabinets in kitchen and suggest the look below. If it were me, I’d consider whitewashing walls and/or ceiling in bedrooms and bathroom. I like the floors, they are practical, striking and will save you a ton of money. Adding area rugs will warm spaces up from a visual and practical perspective. Live with them and reassess after you have made other updates and finished decorating. I’m not sure if possible, but perhaps you could restain/refinish them if you didn’t like the color.

We’re looking for a lifeproof floor that coordinates with our knotty pine doors & trim. Luxurious pine is great, but our doors are treated with a honey yellow stain. Ordering in samples of Teton hickory and Carlsbad maple as they are more yellow to see how it looks.
Main thing is to go with something with similar undertones or complementary undertones. Don’t try to match it exactly, and I suggest avoiding oak.

If you mean all of the walls are pine, I’d go with something very dark. Like try to match a dark brown to the dark brown knots in your walls

Oh gorgeous!! So it pulls less orange more yellow/pink! Then I’d seeing these pictures, I’d go with Boulder Pass Hickory, Teton Hickory or Carlsbad Maple if you’re wanting a lighter floor, Mount Shuksan oak for darker. There aren’t a lot of ‘warm’ options in the lifeproof line, but those ones all have warm/yellow undertones. If you’re looking for a closer match with the grain pattern there’s Luxurious pine. It’s gorgeous but pulls a little more gray/pink.

Our trim and doors are all knotty pine but stained a honey color, finding a floor to match is a nightmare lol
