A new treasure!!

I went to an open garden/plant sale yesterday afternoon at Heronswood, the former world famous nursery and now a developing botanical garden and event center. This is the first open day and plant sale they have had in over 2 years due to the pandemic. It was late on day 2 of the event and most of the vendors had already packed up and the pickings were slim but I did find this little beauty and couldn't resist!

Lagarostrobus franklinii, a rather rare conifer from Tasmania also known as Huon pine. These can be extremely long lived trees but this is obviously just a wee baby.

That thread-like foliage is characteristic.
