Bathroom mirror dilemma?!?
Comments (4)Ok, thanks for all the input! I recently found a place that will cut the mirror AND bevel the cut edges for me, YAY! It's not the cost that's the issue, I just hated to waste a good mirror. Hubby got it off the wall in one piece & I have the prettiest glass & metal mosaic tiles to frame it. (a frightening note - it wasn't glued or anything, just held on the wall with those little clips!!! We're lucky it stayed in place for the last 8 years!) Will post pics when done....See MoreBathroom mirror vanity light swap or switch out mirror/light entirely?
Comments (2)Here is your dilemma. if you take down those fixtures there will be two holes in the mirror, that being said, they will be up high and most likely off center. So, to get new lighting that is not stuck in the corners, and covers the holes behind it, might be next to impossible unless you run a thick bar that covers the space. But some times back in the day they only drug wire over and did not put in actual junction boxes, so the bringing it to code might be another issue. 1. take one of the lights down and see what is going on 2. probably have to replace the mirror and move the electrical location....See Morebathroom vanity pendant vs over the mirror lighting dilemma
Comments (8)either do a whole wall framed mirror and mirror mount the sconces or get smaller mirrors. pendants in bathrooms are decorative IMO But do say you cant find any over the mirror that you like? there are have to be at least 800 choices, for example the one you like probably comes in a mutli head option. try kichler, hinkely, murray fiess, hudson valley lighting, minka lavery go to their actual websites and look through that way you will not be overwhelmed by say the vast amount on a lighting on line website....See MoreDesign Dilemma - making myself crazy re: bathroom vanity mirror
Comments (11)No trim across the top of the mirror would be my first choice if the mirror edge is finished and the ceiling is not uneven. Otherwise consider a flat matching wood picture frame around the mirror. What do the other 3 walls look like? Are you painting or wallpapering? You may want the cabinet maker to make matching crown/baseboard/trim for the other 3 walls....See MoreRelated Professionals
