I really loved the sample of this product. I was convinced that this was the one. To make sure I ordered a box. I’m so glad that I did because the finish on the product ordered was not the same as the sample. The finish on the product I ordered was very drab and dry looking compared to the sample. I thoroughly cleaned it with the approved vinyl cleaner but this made no difference. The sample I looked at was matte with a slight sheen but what I got in the order was ultra matte no sheen. They do not offer different finishes. Some may like this but I think it’s too flat and would look much better with a slight sheen. There is an approved product that may have given a sheen but what’s the point of applying stuff to an easy maintenance product - defeats the purpose. Looking at the vinyl planks they were very thin and flexed very easily compared to Coretec Plus. I’d compare to Coretec One or maybe even a lesser product. If used you’d want to make sure your subfloor is perfectly level or you’d feel this floor flex under foot. I believe they allow an underlay which may be enough for some sub floors. They use the same locking system that US Floors/Coretec has the rights to and Medallion makes this product under license from US Floors (printed on the box) so you’re paying extra for using Coretec’s locking system. From my research the Coretec product is a much better product and doesn’t cost that much more. After looking for months and waiting for the Coretec Plus Premium to come out, I couldn’t find a vinyl plank that I loved so I’m going with solid hardwood. I decided I wanted flooring that has the potential to last years and years and I ultimately didn’t feel I’d get that with vinyl plank. Having said all of that if you like the flat matte finish and are looking at this grade/price point of vinyl plank it’s a winner. There aren’t many vinyl planks with a varied plank look and it would look fantastic in the right environment with the right expectations.

Looks really good! Everyone poo poo’s in vinyl but I get nothing but compliments on mine, and so easy to clean! Especially with kids and pets and their endless accidents!

Cynthia, I couldn't be happier with my floors. They don't show footprints, they are easy to clean, I don't have to deal with grout. There's no scratches. You can hardly tell that they're dirty, although I'm good about keeping it vacuumed. So glad we got long boards - makes all the difference or boards that are all the same size. We struggled with whether we wanted real wood or LVP. So happy I went with LVP. I love real wood but we live in a high moisture area off the water with lots of salt, etc.

We've got the NuCore Performance with the Ridgid Core - Beckham Honey. My husband installed it on 3/4 of our first floor. The day after he did the living room, we got a six-month-old puppy. This floor has taken a beating in the last 12 months, crazy dog, five-person household, heavy traffic. Not one scratch, not one dent. It's definitely cold/cool in the winter. We have a woodstove in the basement and it stays warm down there, which keeps the floors a bit warmer but without that I'd be wearing socks a lot more. And it definitely feels fake. Not smooth like tile, but not like hardwood either. I can't explain it but I've gotten used to it. There are a few places that pop/creak a bit and we hoped they'd go away and maybe they have or maybe I'm so used to them but I don't even notice anymore. It has pulled away from the baseboard in two places. Probably a 1/16" gap. Just enough to be noticeable but not enough to worry about - we'll be keeping an eye on it for sure. We tested vinyl flooring from a number of stores, at all price points, bringing home samples to check the lighting, etc. The NuCore Rigid Core was VERY different from the standard vinyl NuCore. I took a utility knife and hammer to both sample pieces. One pass with the knife cut right through the vinyl on the performance. I sawed at the Rigid Core for minutes and left a few scratches. It's not super slippery like a few we tested and it was relatively easy to install - but my husband is super handy so I can't say that'd be the case for everyone. No underlayment over the hardwood, like the instructions specified. I have to say, the Rigid Core was the best floor we found and we're really happy with it.
