red/current or red/pea tomato?
Comments (4)I grow them in containers but not hanging baskets. I don't think they would do well. The vines get really long and leggy,6 or 7 foot branches are not uncommon. They do not get heavy because the fruit is really small. They are a great tomato good flavor a little sweet amd very productive but they can be a pain picking just so many. The type I grow is Matt's Wild Cherry....See MoreLooking for .......... Current Tomato seeds
Comments (0)Hi, I'm hoping someone has left over seeds from a packet... I still have time to sow a few seeds and harvest these tasty little morsels! I prefer store bought seeds as they will be 'true'.... see my list hope to hear from someone... lets do a quick trade!...See MoreYour Favorite Cherry Tomato: Cherry Tomato Maze
Comments (16)I ended up with a cherry fort - not a maze. The signif other decided to downsize the whole deal... so I ended up with a 10 X 10 area. We were starting with lawn... So I planted a tomato every 6-8 inches. I know inches... I put in: Gajo De Melon Suncherry red star sungold green doctors zebra cherry black cherry snow white Riesentraube OSU Blue Oh heavens, I'll have to go home and check again... there were others... I got a lot of people who wanted to donate seed, so I took them up on them and added them to the 'fort'. I have to take recent pictures, but this is what it looked like early on. I haven't been gung-ho on documenting this because I didn't want to document a complete failure if it happened... :) Then I went back to the original farm (without my camera) this weekend and they have extended their tomato maze - lots more varieties and much bigger this year... I will bring the camera next time I go. Again they told the kids "come back with your basket and belly full." SO cute and SO gets them excited about gardening. I want that!!! I'll take pictures tonight and post them tonight or tomorrow....See MoreMy current homemade Favorites
Comments (18)Thank you all for commenting. As regards the bundle of competences mentioned by you Oleg - the most crucial in this respect is steadiness. The daily husbandry. To never neglect them. To never have them disappear in the Corner, once the Bloom is spent. To put the little but appropriate volume of water into the saucer every day. Right now they are at my hottest place on the windowill in the living room. These three are NOT suitable for a cold reposal during winter. Their leaves are diffferent, the proportions are Clivia-like rather than the usual straps. The funniest part of this latter Observation is - I do not even know, what original parent ("Ambiance, "Donau", and H.papilio) is responsible for this property, and the same applies for the very attractive "uprightness" of the flower as is very conspicuous in "PapDonAmb2" and still visible in the offspring #2...See Moreberrypiez6b
