Warming drawers with integrated drawer fronts/custom panels
Comments (15)What about the Kitchen Aid warming drawer (link below)? It seems to deliver all the goods plus functions as a slow cooker for a lot less than the Wolf. I don't like the location of the Wolf warming drawer's controls. They seem vulnerable to spills. The Dacor we used in our last house lacked crisp/moist controls and gave the installer fits (which, I accept, probably says more about the installer). Our designer wants us to put the warming drawer in a stack below a pair of ovens (or an oven and a microwave). I prefer to have the warming drawer higher than that and also want it in a location where it can be accessed at the same time someone is tending to the oven(s). Whatever we choose, our new warming drawer will almost certainly go in the island (where there will be plenty of depth), either on the far side from the ovens and cooktop or opposite the space between them. Comments (8)Thanks for the answers; now I think I am going to re-think my drawer sizes. The vanity will be 45" wide with an offset sink to the left. I was at the Kohler Store yesterday looking at sinks and faucets, and while there I looked at their vanities. Theirs tended to have more shallow drawers, but they also had some fancy inserts in them, and some of the drawers had stacked inserts for putting in two layers of things. I plan to go to The Container Store to get some dividers to make the most use of the shallower drawers. I was thinking I could store things like lotions, sunscreen etc. vertically in that taller 9" drawer.( Anyone know if there are dividers that will work for tall drawers to just provided some separate compartments so things won't fall over?) Really tall things like mega-size Costco shampoo bottles will be put in the open part with the doorrs. Ideally I'd like a drawer for makeup (don't use much and don't have much), hairbrushes, barrettes etc. Then, I'd like one for things like band-aids, Vaseline, medicines etc. Tibbrix--Can you please elaborate on why you so loved that counter-depth vanity?...See MoreWho did you use for your custom closets?
Comments (28)we have done Elfa from the container store, first in our master closet, then as an office in a wide reach in closet, and then the coat closet, and the butlers pantry, and the food pantry. We used the metal basket type drawers and have the plastic liners in a few. Benefit is that the wire mesh doesn't leave marks in your clothing. Our previous house had the home depot version and the elfa is about twice as sturdy, feels solid and looks nicer....See MoreHelp identifying closet system used for walk in closets
Comments (1)I too am trying to identify the customized closet systems in my new condo, so I can buy some additional shelves. I can't believe they don't put their name or logo somewhere ! I too have those oval hanging rods, but my shelves are on moveable pegs for support (thankfully)....See MoreFori
