Any Reviews on the Electrolux ECFI3068AS

Hello everyone. I've been looking at multiple threads on 30" induction ranges on Gardenweb. I havent seen any of the following ranges in person. I will not get a Samsung or LG.

I am now looking at the Electrolux ECFI3068AS. I would like any input on this range you may have. I like that it can bridge the a front and back set of burners on one side. The oven size is nice. I dont want a bottom drawer, I cant stand them! here is a link:

I always thought I'd want the Bosch, but their specs say that they are 31.+" wide. Why did they do that? My opeing is 30".

I've thought of the Fisher Paykal, but the smallish cooktop areas for pans has steered me away. I've considered the Fisher Paykal pro model but it is very expensive. here is a link to the pro model:

Other models I've briefly looked at are Fulfor Milano, Bertazzoni master and pro, and Miele. But most likely will not go with these models, unless I'm persuaded. Miele is just too expensive.

Note that the Bosch induction ranges (and cooktops) have electronic controls rather than the more convenient knobs. Also, there is only one power level control (slider) for all cooktop elements. One must first select the element to adjust and then move the slider to adjust the power level.

FWIW, the Bosch ranges will fit in your standard 30-inch wide cutout. It is only the top "glass" surface which is 31½-inches wide and that is because it is intended to extend out above the actual sides of the stoves by 3/4-inch on both sides. The overhangs are only sticking out from the stoves above countertop level. They are supposed to cover-over the gaps between the countertops and the range. It is the way most slide-in models used to be a decade or so ago. The bodies of the Bosch 800 & Benchmark induction ranges (that is, the bulk of the stove below the ceramic-glass sheet on top) are the standard 29 7/8ths inches wide. The Bosch ranges can fit into standard 30-inch "openings" like yours just like any other slide-in range would.

ETA: The overhang design seems to be a "must-have" for some posters here while others hate the design and still others are indifferent about it.

IIRC, there also were a number of posts a few years back from posters here who had bought the Bosch ranges and discovered that their countertops were lower than thought. Their Bosch ranges' feet couldn't be cranked low enough for a good fit over those side gaps. (Apparently, the Bosch and many other ranges are designed for a current idea of what a standard countertop height should be and have adjustments for those who want taller cabinets/countertops but not shorter.) There were several creative solutions for filling the space below the overhangs.

Agree with jwvideo that the Bosch will fit — the overlap looks nice IMHO. Sis just bought a Frigidaire and is in love. No bridge, but her big pancake pan can cover two elements and works great Nicest feature is the big hob is up front. Unles the design has changed, Bosch has it in the rear — the only major negative for me. But I have the Bosch 800 cooktop.

Model # is E23BC68JPS for pro handles, or _JSS for curved desinger handles. Took very long hard look at this fridge. It looks great. This was probably my favourite-looking non-built-in fridge I saw. For 36" counter-depth-ish freestanding fridges, it's one of highest capacities you'll find. Especially impressive is available surface area of shelving. If that was a stat listed, this fridge would be tops for this size. I too avoided in-door dispenser like the plague after seeing figures how much more likely such models needed repairs vs non-dispenser models. And Electrolux in particular had major issues with this in both standard & Icon versions of this model. I ended going built-in and finding a smokin' deal (relative to built-in prices) on a Bosch unit. BTW there are at least 2 different trim kits. The louvered trim kit is the one seen in a couple images on Icon website. It looks very nice IMHO. I would have done it. It's too bad it's flush with the fridge cabinet and no option to make it flush with front of doors. I'm probably too nitpicky though? Still looks great to me, link below. Both Wolf and Electrolux have issues with the blue porcelain. And its a really big oops on the Wolf. Electrolux seems to have resolved their issues with blue porcelain as there are not any complaints from recent ovens. Wolf still has ongoing issues, but the repair will now be easier with the bottom as a separate piece. Search blue porcelain in this forum to read about this. Looking at cubic feet or even the depth and width of the oven can be misleading. In looking at oven size, measure the rack to see what the usable space would be and then see how your pans will fit. Look at how the convection fan takes up space in the oven. Some have the fan sticking out into the oven cavity, which might allow for a handle of a pan to hang over a rack edge. Others place a wall across the front of the fan so they can say the back of the oven is flat. Some examples Wolf Electrolux The new Wolf ovens seem to be blue. Different fans! Wolf M series illustration Wolf M series photo Also look at where the racks are and how they can be used. On Elux, at least mine, the rolling rack cannot be put on the lowest position. The regular rack can be placed there. The best feature of the Wolf is the dual fans/elements. I think that is more significant in the 36 inch width though. Whatever you buy, get the longest extended warranty you can get.

Thanks fastonetime, so glad to read the review. This is my first choice washer/dryer when my now 15 year old top load Whirlpool dies. Cool to hear how the washer creates steam and that things are working great and your happy with your purchase. Have you used the More Water option and does it add more water to the wash AND the rinse or just one or the other? Just a heads up for others, there is an updated version to the Wavetouch coming out this September (I got that info. from Chris Polk). He said and I quote: "We do have a new line of laundry products that are scheduled to launch by the end of September. These will feature much of the same appearance and design, just a few additional cycle and setting choices that what is currently offered." Thanks for the review.

The Bosch has 17 levels of power control. Be sure and compare that with your other options. Many others will have 10 levels. Electrolux has 10 plus MELT, WARM, SIM.

Have to add, Electrolux makes some of the best commercial induction units I've seen for $20k.
